To Trigger the Road to Singularity world quest in Genshin Impact, players need to arrive at Kuisel Clockwork Workshop: Middle Level. Doing so requires travelers to:
- Teleport to New Fontaine Research Institute northwestern Waypoint.
- Head east toward the Kuisel Clockwork Workshop: Entrance.
- Grab the Ousia Block east of the elevator.
- Hit the Fixed Storage Device to activate the elevator.
- Take the elevator to the Clockwork Workshop: Middle Level.
Exploring the mysterious building will lead players to a trapped person who introduces himself as Kuisel.
How To Free Kuisel
Freeing Kuisel can be done by following these steps:
- Activate the Terminal east of Kuisel.
- Absorb the Energy inside the Fixed Storage Device.
- Switch the lens perspective.
- Fill the Fixed Storage Device beside the cage with Energy.
- Open the cage.

Once the protagonist speaks with Kuisel, he will trick them and lock them in the cage, and then it's Paimon's turn. To escape the cage and explore the area ahead, guide Paimon with the following options:

How To Solve The Handwheel Puzzle
Next, players will have to open the Kuisel Clockwork Workshop: Lower Level door by shutting off all of the pipe’s valves. To do so:
- Climb to the top platform.
- Turn the Handwheel to the eastern side.
- Get down to the lower platform with two valves.
- Turn the first Handwheel to the eastern side and the second one downward.
However, the last valve’s Handwheel will be locked inside a cage, to open it:
- Grab the Pneuma Block.
- Hit the Ousia Storage Box.
- Pick up the Energy Transfer and place it beside the cage.
- Open the cage and get the Handwheel.
- Install the Handwheel on the pipe’s valve.
- Rotate it to the western side.
How To Solve The Pipe Puzzle
Follow the quest mark to arrive at the next location in Genshin Impact then use the Terminal to align three pipes vertically and spawn a wind current. Here's how:
- Use the Terminal that controls two pipes
- Rotate the pipe on the right once, then stop
- Choose Move
- Rotate both pipes until they move twice and align vertically
Next, use the Terminal that controls one pipe. This time, simply choose Move and Rotate.
How To Solve The Pipe Puzzle #2
Defeating the two Clockwork Meka will unlock the floor's lower level and people can get two Energy Concentrating Components in Genshin Impact.
Descend, and solve the Pipe Puzzle by aligning three pipes horizontally. Afterward, go back up and defeat four Clockwork Meka in Genshin Impact to open the passage that leads to Kuisel's location.
Upon arrival, travelers will learn his real name is Coutrot, not Kuisel, and that he was simply testing them for their ability to help with his research. Lastly, he challenges players to a duel to see their true worth but ends up being defeated and captured by Bricole. Defeating Coutrot will reward travelers with a Luxurious Chest, While Motors Sleep… Achievement and a Mysterious Ore in Genshin Impact.
