To trigger the Echoes of the Ancient World quest, speak to Verenata near the water hole that leads to underwater Merusea Village in Genshin Impact. The former is required as Echoes of the Ancient World is a continuation of it, while Ancient Colors is the mission that eventually unlocked the other half of Elynas’ underground area.
How To Look For A Way To Break The Seal
To break the seal in the Echoes of the Ancient World quest in Genshin Impact, players must simply use their attack to hit three Crystal Mechanisms. These mechanisms won’t appear until people reach this part of the quest, so the red barrier in the underwater Merusea Village can only be removed by following the Echoes of the Ancient World quest. One of the Crystal Mechanisms is somewhat hidden, but from a certain angle, all three can be seen at once in a clear position.
After all the Crystal Mechanisms are activated, the red barrier in underwater Merusea Village will disappear, and players can finally explore the area. However, there’s not much there, so it’s a place people likely will visit once and then never again afterward.

Using the Armored Crab’s underwater attack in Genshin Impact to hit the center likely won’t work, so if players are wondering how to hit at the Conch Harp in this part of the quest, they can try hitting the circled spot.
After the shockwave is unleashed, a bunch of crabs will exit from the conch, and players have to clear them out. Once the enemies are defeated, the quest will proceed and eventually end, rewarding Travelers with Song of the Ancients achievement, 30 Primogems, one Strange Part, two Hero’s Wits, 22,500 Mora, and three Mystic Enhancement Ores.
