Genshin Impact has revealed a limited-time event for the second phase of version 4.2, during which Travelers will have a chance to pull rerun banners, including Kamisato Ayato and Cyno. Genshin Impact's version 4.2 is in full swing, with players enjoying a variety of content from Archon quests and events to characters. The Fontaine region takes them to brand-new explorable locations, Erinnyes Forest and Sealed Ruined Tower, which have their unique environmental design. Aside from map expansion, version 4.2 offers Travelers a certain amount of Primogems that translates into wishes.
The good news is that the second part of Genshin Impact version 4.2 will bring more content, including a handful of rerun banners that can be used to enhance team compositions and get Constellations. Players will unlock new weapons to ascend their characters and participate in events to claim lucrative rewards. As per the schedule, version 4.2 will last until mid-December.
Genshin Impact has confirmed that players will have an increased chance to pull some event-exclusive characters, including Cyno, Kirara, Shinobu, Xiangling, and Kamisato Ayato. These rerun banners will be available through event wishes, which will take place between November 28 and December 20. It's essential to note that none of them will arrive in Genshin Impact's standard banner Wanderlust Invocation. There will also be event-exclusive weapons in version 4.2, including five-star Polearm Staff of the Scarlet Sands.
The drop rates of four-star weapons: Lion's Roar (Sword), The Widsith (Catalyst), Favonius Greatsword (Claymore), Favonius Lance (Polearm), and Favonius Warbow (Bow) will be boosted until December 20. Aside from new weapons and rerun banners, Genshin Impact version 4.2 will add a unique event, which requires players to command Lil' Fungi and defeat all enemies to earn Primogems and ascension materials. One thing to note is that Travelers must be above Adventure Rank 20 and finish the "Song of the Dragon and Freedom" quest to participate in the event.
Among all banners, Genshin Impact's Cyno and Kamisato Ayato take the spotlight as five-star characters that can fit into many teams. Cyno is an Electro polearm wielder who can fill the role of on-field DPS thanks to her aggressive kit. She unleashes her true potential in team compositions that include characters with recharge and shield abilities. Ayato, on the other hand, is a Hydro sword user best suited to sub-DPS and support roles. In addition to an offensive state and powerful Constellations, he has a unique elemental burst that can kill multiple enemies on the field.
