Genshin Impact has officially revealed all the events that will be featured in the second part of the ongoing update 5.6. Genshin Impact updates usually last around 42 days, and HoYoverse always releases new events throughout that period to keep the content fresh.
The first banner phase is slowly coming to an end, which means that players have only a couple of days left to obtain the two limited five-star characters, Escoffier and Navia. Unfortunately, Genshin Impact has previously confirmed that Escoffier is the only new five-star unit, which means that the second banner will feature only re-runs of popular characters.
Genshin Impact Reveals 5-star Character Holding Rate for Update 5.6
A recent Genshin Impact chart highlights the most owned characters among endgame players in update 5.6, featuring some unexpected picks.
Genshin Impact’s official Twitter account has revealed seven new events that will arrive in phase 2 of version 5.6. The first revealed event received the most attention, as HoYoverse will bring back the Chronicled Banner, which allows players to obtain some of the game's older characters who are not frequently featured. Genshin Impact's Chronicled Banner lets players choose a five-star unit, with a 50% chance of obtaining them on the first pull and a guarantee on the second pull. It also uses Intertwined Fates and features a 90-wish pity system. The post confirmed that the banner will include eight five-star characters: Ayaka, Ayato, Yoimiya, Chiori, Yae Miko, Itto, Sangonomiya Kokomi, and Kazuha, as well as their respective signature weapons.

Apart from the usual wish events, the update will feature three additional events that players can participate in to earn valuable rewards. While HoYoverse has yet to reveal detailed mechanics for these events, they have confirmed that participation will grant Genshin Impact Primogems and important enhancement materials.
Chronicle of Shifting Stratagems has been described as a themed party setup challenge, which likely means that players will need to assemble different Genshin Impact teams to complete various tasks. This event will begin with the release of Phase 2 on May 27 and run until June 9. Legends Ablaze will introduce “fun co-op crossover challenges,” suggesting that players will be able to team up with others. This event is scheduled to run from June 5 to June 16.
Ley Line Overflow is a recurring event and one of the oldest in Genshin Impact. During the event, Ley Line Outcrops will provide double the usual rewards, and players will be able to collect them up to three times per day. It will run from June 9 to June 16, the same duration as Legends Ablaze. Based on the end dates of these events, players can expect Genshin Impact update 5.7 to arrive around June 17.
