The popular action RPG title Genshin Impact features a wide array of challenges for players to test their skills against. However, some characters are more suited to facing specific kinds of challenges than others, and some players are more willing to make things harder for themselves. Recently, one Genshin Impact player shared a video of themselves taking on the Perpetual Mechanical Array boss with Naganohara Yoimiya, all without looking at the screen.

Redditor Bravenwolf posted a short video showcasing their clash with the Perpetual Mechanical Array boss found under Jinren Island in Inazuma. Although the video is almost one minute and 30 seconds long, the actual fight with the boss took just 29 seconds. The rest of the video chronicles Bravenwolf setting up the screen so that they wouldn't be able to peek at it by accident and checking on their team after the battle was over.

After entering Floor 12 Chamber 1, Bravenwolf turned their monitor around to ensure they would be unable to see the action. Then, they stared intently down at their keyboard, vision further limited by a baseball cap and facemask combo, and began to fight. On top of the self-imposed vision challenge, they were also facing down a challenge from the game itself - to defeat one opponent within 600 seconds, or 10 minutes. Despite being unable to see what their character was doing, the screen recording shows that Bravenwolf was able to immediately guide Yoimiya to her target and unleash her fiery wrath. About half a minute later, Bravenwolf heard the game's music change and turned the screen back around to confirm they had accomplished their goal.

As of writing, it appears that many other fans are impressed and somewhat intimidated by Bravenwolf's achievement. Several users complimented Bravenwolf on this deed, with a few noting that they enjoy seeing Yoimiya players film "blindfolded" runs like this. However, a number of other users argued that this wasn't that impressive, as C6 characters can solo most of the game's content due to Genshin Impact's questionable difficulty settings. Regardless, the footage that was shared by Bravenwolf is entertaining.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices with a Switch version also in development.
