Summary
- Genshin Impact teased the new region Nod-Krai with music and lore during a recent event.
- Version 6.0 is expected to launch on September 10, 2025, introducing Nod-Krai after six months.
- Players are likely to receive updates on Nod-Krai during the blood and new moons in March 2025.
In its recent Web Event, Genshin Impact finally teased the region of Nod-Krai with snippets of its music, an overview of its environment, and new lore pertaining to the three Moon Sisters of Teyvat. While the Natlan era in Genshin Impact is still in full swing, the developer has always traditionally teased new regions in the spring. Version 6.0 is expected to launch on September 10, 2025, which is exactly six months after the debut of the teaser. At first glance, this may seem too early to tease a new region, but the dates couldn't be more perfect.
The next blood moon is slated to be on March 14, 2025, which is coincidentally the date of the Genshin Impact livestream for Version 5.5. Moreover, a "Super New Moon" will grace the night sky on March 29, 2025. Given that Genshin Impact implied that the Web Event would receive updates during the month, it's extremely likely that players will get new information about Nod-Krai and the Moon Sisters on those specific dates.
Genshin Impact Trick Accurately Calculates Teyvat's True Size
A Genshin Impact player demonstrates an interesting experiment that lets them calculate the exact width of the current Teyvat continent.
Not much is known about Nod-Krai in Genshin Impact. It is an autonomous province in Snezhaya, located on the edges of its southern border, neighboring Fontaine to the east and Natlan to the south. Its people suffered dearly at the hands of the Abyss, both during the fall of Khaenri'ah and even centuries prior. As spotted by ISRUKRENG on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, one of the slides in the new Web Event finally revealed what Nod-Krai looks like, showing a few notable landmarks, such as its grand lighthouse, a snowy landscape, golden crystals, and the shadow of Mt. Esus in the background.
Genshin Impact Reveals Song of the Welkin Moon Event
It is speculated that Skirk, one of the upcoming Genshin Impact characters, will be tied to the Frost Moon and will play a notable role in guiding the player through Nod-Krai. While Arlecchino has ties to the Iridescent Moon, her role in the new region is yet to be confirmed. According to earlier leaks, and thanks to information gleamed from the new Artifact Sets from Version 5.5, the main Harbinger for Nod-Krai is expected to be Dottore.
The prophecy revealed in the teaser foretells the rise of a New Moon, which many speculate is related to the Welkin Moon in Genshin Impact. Many fans have tried to pinpoint the identity of the fourth sister seen during the Blessing of the Welkin Moon, with some even claiming that Paimon would be responsible for anchoring the New Moon at the end of her journey with the Traveler. While Nod-Krai and Snezhnaya in Genshin Impact are still half a year away, it would seem that players will get to know a lot more about the region by the end of March 2025.
