Summary
- Genshin Impact will introduce a new endgame mode in Version 5.7.
- This mode will feature a gauntlet of six chambers with optional co-op.
- Players must assemble three teams per chamber, with unique characters required for the final two.
Recent datamining has all but confirmed that Genshin Impact will debut its new endgame mode in Version 5.7. While players can breeze through most of the open world in Genshin Impact, the real challenge of the game lies in the Spiral Abyss, Imaginarium Theater, and Local Legends. Unlike Local Legends, the Spiral Abyss and Imaginarium Theater rotate throughout the year, and all signs point to a new game mode being added to this rotation in Version 5.7.
Inspired by Deadly Assault from Zenless Zone Zero, this new endgame for Genshin Impact will pit players against world bosses in a gauntlet of six chambers. Unlike the Spiral Abyss or Imaginarium Theater, this game mode will also feature optional co-op for the first four chambers, allowing players to team up with friends or strangers, not unlike when challenging a Trounce Domain.
Genshin Impact: What To Expect From Nod-Krai
Nod-Krai's arrival has been long-awaited amongst the Genshin Impact community. Here's what players can expect to see in the future patch.
According to HomDGCat, the game mode will make its debut in Version 5.7. Given that Genshin Impact will have no map expansion in Version 5.7, introducing a new endgame should hopefully keep players occupied until the way to Mare Jivari opens. Earlier leaks claimed that the game mode would feature enticing rewards, with a Sanctifying Elixir being offered to players who clear the first five chambers.
Genshin Impact: Everything Known About the New Endgame
As for its gameplay, unlike the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact, the new endgame will seemingly feature three branches, requiring players to assemble three teams per chamber. While players will be able to use the same character across different teams in the first four chambers, the final two will require twelve unique characters to complete. Some Genshin Impact fans have already expressed concern that the new game mode won't be friendly to free-to-play accounts, especially given the current trend in the Spiral Abyss.
Version 5.7 is set to introduce Dahlia and Skirk to Genshin Impact, with the latter poised to become one of the most powerful hypercarries in the game. Even though all eyes are now on Nod-Krai, Skirk will no doubt draw plenty of attention from the community. While Dainsleif hasn't been confirmed for Version 5.7, there's a strong likelihood that the former Knight Captain of Khaenri'ah will make his annual appearance in the upcoming patch. As for the final zone of Natlan, Genshin Impact players will need to wait until Version 5.8 to experience the windless lands of Mare Jivari. Version 5.7 is expected to come out on June 18, 2025.
