As expected from the Hydro Dragon, 
Neuvillette comes in with a storm into Genshin Impact’s playable character roster. Similar to the land he lives in, he manipulates the Element of water, and his playstyle revolves around unleashing a Hydro torrent via his Charged Attack.
Usually, important figures would come with crazy Constellations like Raiden Shogun and Nahida, but the same can’t be said about Neuvillette Constellations in Genshin Impact. Most of his enhancement increases his DPS, but in a reasonable amount, and doesn’t alter his playstyle.
Are Neuvillette Constellations Worth It In Genshin Impact?
The only Constellation that significantly changes Neuvillette’s playstyle is his C6. C1 and C2 are mere damage bonuses, while C4 is meant to boost C6 effect. If players wish to get the most affordable value, they can go for C2 and C3, but his best upgrade lies on C6.
C1 - Venerable Institution
- Effect: When Neuvillette takes the field, he will obtain 1 stack of Past Draconic Glories from the Passive Talent "Heir to the Ancient Sea's Authority." Additionally, his interruption resistance will be increased while using the Charged Attack Empowerment: Legal Evaluation and the Charged Attack: Equitable Judgment.

Neuvillette’s second Ascension passive (A2) is incredibly important to maximize his damage, but players can easily max it by bringing multiple Elements into the team, so this effect is not too important. The good part is that now people have more opportunities to bring two Hydro characters and trigger Hydro Resonance to boost the Iudex’s HP.
C2 - Juridical Exhortation
- Effect: The Passive Talent "Heir to the Ancient Sea's Authority" will be enhanced: Each stack of Past Draconic Glories will increase the CRIT DMG of Charged Attack: Equitable Judgment by 14%. The maximum increase that can be achieved this way is 42%.
- Importance: Medium
Neuvillette’s second Constellation in Genshin Impact is a typical DMG boost, and 42% Crit DMG is alright if compared to top-tier C2 like Raiden Shogun’s or Nahida’s. Nevertheless, it’s great to have if players want to get as much DPS as possible from the Chief of Justice.
C4 - Crown of Commiseration
- Effect: When Neuvillette is on the field and is healed, 1 Sourcewater Droplet will be generated. This effect can occur once every 4s.
- Importance: Medium
Players should be able to maintain a 100% Charged Attack uptime by combining Neuvillette’s Skill and Burst, so this C4 is mostly a build-up for his C6.
C6 - Wrathful Recompense
- Effect: When using Charged Attack: Equitable Judgment, Neuvillette can absorb nearby Sourcewater Droplets in an AoE. Each absorbed Droplet will increase the duration of Charged Attack: Equitable Judgment by 1s. Additionally, when Equitable Judgment hits opponents, it will fire off 2 additional currents every 2s, each of which will deal 10% of Neuvillette's Max HP as Hydro DMG. DMG dealt this way will count as DMG dealt by Equitable Judgment.

Neuvillette’s C6 allows him to use his Charged Attack for longer than 3s, and with three Sourcewater Droplets getting absorbed on each Equitable Judgment cast, players can expect around 6s of Charged Attack, twice the original duration. Combine it with other abilities like his A2, A4, and weapon passive, and Neuvillette can easily maintain maximum stacks of some passives while also endlessly releasing his water torrent.
