Genshin Impact players have noticed an interesting pattern suggesting that HoYoverse could add another powerful Pyro user during the Natlan arc. Genshin Impact's most recent major update introduced the long-awaited Pyro nation, Natlan, along with several new playable units.
The most recently added characters are Chasca and Ororon, who arrived as part of the ongoing update 5.2. HoYoverse has already confirmed that the next update will introduce the long-awaited Pyro Archon, Mavuika, and the famous fortune-teller Citlali. Both are confirmed to arrive in the first banner cycle of the upcoming version 5.3.
While Mavuika is yet to join the roster officially, players have already started speculating about a new powerful character who could share the same element as the Natlan Archon. A Reddit user named the_dark_artist shared a chart showing that all the previously released Archons have been paired with another powerful character of the same element who is integral to the main storyline. For example, the first Archon to appear in the game was Genshin Impact's Anemo user Venti, who was paired with Jean, the Acting Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius, a character arguably just as important to the Mondstadt region, at least in the current timeline. Liyue's Ningguang is the only character on the list with a lower four-star rarity.
Genshin Impact Player Theory Hints at New Pyro Character
The post gained significant attention in the community, with many fans claiming that Natlan needs a Pyro character who would complement Mavuika both in terms of the story and gameplay. It would not be surprising if HoYoverse decides to introduce such a powerful character in the later stages of the Natlan arc, especially since recent Genshin Impact leaks revealed that Capitano won't be joining the roster, at least not for now.
Some of these "sidekick" characters have been rumored to be even more powerful than their Archon counterparts. One prime example is Fontaine's Neuvillette, who is also known as one of Genshin Impact's Seven Sovereigns. Since Mavuika's kit reveal, players have been complaining about her abilities being more restrictive compared to previously released Archons, who are known for their versatility in fitting almost any team composition.
Some fans have suggested that this new character could have excellent synergy with Genshin Impact's Natlan Archon in battle, potentially addressing some of these concerns. According to the comment section, Natlan's first Archon, also known as Xbalanque, would be the perfect character to fill this role.
