Genshin Impact has given players their first official look at three Natlan characters. It's been weeks since Genshin Impact released the first images of Natlan's environment and Saurian beasts, but a new teaser trailer reveals more of the Nation of War's scenery, fauna, and enemies.
The latest Genshin Impact 4.8 special livestream focused primarily on the game's next summer event and formally unveiled Nilou and Kirara's skins. HoYoverse also showcased the upcoming 5-star Dendro character Emilie and her combat abilities. However, the highlight of the stream was the newest Natlan teaser. Although a recent leak implied that Genshin Impact would release a Natlan trailer around mid-July, fans were surprised by its sudden appearance at the end of the stream.

The video shows three new Natlan characters interacting with Natlan's nature. The first character shown is a small girl with animal-like ears and a tail who moves around using a vehicle resembling a toy top capable of climbing walls. The mysterious character also performs an AoE attack using the vehicle. The second character shown is a medium-tall female with all-blue attire. At first, she's seen fishing, but she then quickly uses a shark to help her hover across the water. Finally, a medium-tall male character using a claymore is seen drifting through the air before joining the previous two. These appear to be the previously leaked Genshin Impact 5.0 characters, which were said to be Geo, Hydro, and Dendro.
Genshin Impact Shares First Official Natlan Characters
The minute-long video featured some Natlan enemies too. These have the same body models as Sumeru's large male and medium-tall male and female Eremites. As for animals, a ferret-like creature appears at the beginning of the teaser. The video presents a few Natlan landscapes, even giving players a glimpse at the nation's map.
As per previously revealed Genshin Impact details, Natlan is based on Mesoamerican and West African civilizations. The characters revealed seem to carry some elements based on these cultures. As Twitter user World1mpact spotted, their Visions in the trailer may be inspired by the Aztec calendar. Their outfits also differ from the leaked Natlan's Pyro Archon's design, which was revealed to be more colonial in appearance.
Genshin Impact's 4.8 update will be the last before players set foot on Natlan for the first time in Version 5.0. The Nation of War is expected to arrive in late August along with a new Archon Quest. Following the Genshin Impact tradition, a new region means a whole new set of playable characters. Fortunately for fans, summer events tend to offer a lot of Primogems, which can help them save up for these new Natlan party members.
