This is especially important in Genshin Impact's Spiral Abyss, which is regarded as the most challenging domain in the game as it requires players to use their most powerful characters. The Spiral Abyss keeps changing every two weeks, which means that players need to constantly adapt their team compositions to new enemy lineups.

A Reddit user named LvlUrArti has shared a couple of interesting charts that include a lot of data about Phase 2 of the Version 4.4 Spiral Abyss domain. According to the chart, the most popular character in the current version of this domain, with a 76.16% usage rate, was the famous Fontaine Archon Furina, also known as the God of Justice. Furina is widely considered the most powerful Hydro user in the game thanks to a stacked kit that allows her to adapt to almost every team composition that needs powerful support. She is the only character in the game so far that can swap between the Pneuma and Ousia energy forms, which impacts the way her kit performs.
She is followed by another Hydro character, the five-star Hydro user Yelan who is still considered an S-tier support and sub-DPS. The double banner in which she appeared alongside Hu Tao still holds Genshin Impact's revenue record. The third most used five-star character is another Archon, the God of Wisdom, known as Nahida. Just like most other Archons in Genshin Impact, Nahida is a very flexible unit that can fit many different roles and team compositions.
