A Genshin Impact leak has revealed a new dragon companion, Hydro Saurian, that lives in Natlan. Genshin Impact's Saurians are non-hostile creatures that live in harmony with the people of Natlan. These species boast several unique abilities; for example, one can swim in water and lava, while another can travel underground. As confirmed by the developers, they will appear in their native land once the version 5.0 update is released.

As revealed in a trailer last week, Genshin Impact's Natlan region will feature three different Saurians, including the one that looks like an evolved dolphin. They will reportedly represent Hydro, Dendro, and Geo elements. Each Saurian will have rare physical traits, such as drill-like heads, fins, and giant ears. To see how they can help players explore the map of Natlan, players will have to wait until the release of version 5.0.

A Genshin Impact leak from SunYongPS has given players their first proper look at the Hydro Saurian, which has undergone years of evolution. As seen in the leaked footage, players will transform into this dragon to swim in the water. They will stay on the water's surface because the Hydro Saurian can't dive deep. Interestingly, players will be able to travel over land while in the Saurian form.

Genshin Impact's Natlan Will Allegedly Feature Hydro Saurian

The leaked video shows the Hydro dragon can jump out of water like dolphins and whales. It has long ears, four legs, colorful eyes, and a thin mouth. With its physical traits, the Hydro Saurian bears a resemblance to Genshin Impact's Primordial Bathysmal Vishap Hatchling. More information on the dragon's abilities should be revealed soon.

According to some leaks, players can't enter the territory of the Dendro or Geo tribe while in the Hydro Saurian form. Besides, if they try to leave the Natlan region while in this form, their screen will go dark and display a notice. All three Saurians will be added to the game in Genshin Impact's version 5.0 next month.

Genshin Impact's version 5.0 will revolve around Natlan, a new nation devoted to the Pyro archon. There, players will encounter a lineup of enemies, NPCs, and non-hostile creatures. With the release of Natlan, cosmetics, weapons, treasure chests, time-limited events, and quality-of-life features will be added to Genshin Impact. Moreover, three new characters, Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina, will make their playable debut in the game. As per HoYoverse's schedule, the upcoming region will be fully explorable in update 5.0 in late August.
