A new leak from Genshin Impact is teasing the lineup of weapons available on the limited gacha banner for the second half of Version 4.0. While characters typically take the spotlight of new updates to the HoYoverse RPG, each rotation of limited characters also comes with an update to the game's weapon banner. The weapon gacha banner often sports some of Genshin Impact's most powerful weapons, like the Mistsplitter Reforged and Amos' Bow, catering to the featured five-star characters. Now, a pair of popular weapons are set to return to the rotation during Version 4.0.
Genshin Impact's updates typically bring at least one new weapon to the game's rotation, corresponding with the release of the game's newest characters. Signature weapons are often catered to a character's particular playstyle, sporting powerful effects that benefit the unique abilities of Genshin Impact's characters. The newest five-star weapon, The First Great Magic, offer unique boosts to Charged Attacks and increased damage or movement speed based on party composition, catered to Genshin Impact's newest five-star unit, Lyney. Now, leaks are teasing the second half of Version 4.0's weapons.

The second half banner is set to offer the Polar Star and the Vortex Vanquisher as its limited five-star weapons, the signature weapons for featured characters Tartaglia and Zhongli. The lineup of four-star weapons features several popular choices including the Rust bow and the Widsith catalyst among others. Version 4.0's second half is expected to begin on September 6th.

Genshin Impact's newest weapon banner comes as the Fontaine update has added several new weapons for players to try out. The Version 4.0 update brought with it a new suite of forgeable weapons within Genshin Impact, with one of each weapon type available. Version 4.0 saw the first major update to the game's premium Battle Pass offerings with five new weapons added to the reward for purchasing the "Gnostic Hymn" upgrade. Genshin Impact's fishing mini-game also added a new weapon for players to acquire with the "Fleuve Cendre Ferryman" sword.
While Version 4.0 added plenty of new weapons, Genshin Impact is set to add even more to the game with its next update. Version 4.1 will introduce two new characters in Neuvillette and Wriothesley, with each seeing their own signature weapon also added to the game. Leaks have also suggested Version 4.1's flagship event will include an exclusive four-star weapon as a reward for completion. Genshin Impact's pool of available weapons looks to grow even more throughout the coming updates, giving players more options to optimize their characters.
