A new leak from Genshin Impact has revealed the rarity for several upcoming Fontaine characters, including rough release windows for multiple previously rumored characters. With Genshin Impact set to debut the Hydro Archon's region of Fontaine later this summer, HoYoverse has been giving fans plenty of reasons to be excited about the upcoming region. The recent Version 3.8 Special Program would reveal some of the first detailed images of Fontaine, as well as tease some of its new mechanics. Now, a new leak is getting players excited about the upcoming characters.
Fontaine's playable roster has already seen a litany of leaks with multiple of Genshin Impact's newest playable characters' details revealed early. Leaks have given plenty of information about the gameplay for characters like Lyney, Lynette, and Charlotte going so far as to even describe parts of their kit and their role in team comps. Several others have seen their visual appearances leaked with characters not expected to arrive for several patches already shown. Recent leaks have now shared how easy or difficult each upcoming character will be for players to acquire.
A new chart shared by prominent Genshin Impact leaker Tao has revealed rarities for nearly twenty characters expected to debut throughout the Fontaine cycle. The leak suggests three new characters will release with Version 4.0 featuring Lyney as its lone five-star character with Lynette and the previously leaked Freminet as four-stars. Future patches are set to feature multiple new five-star characters including the previously teased Wriothesley, Neuvilette, and Hydro Archon Furina among others. The leak would also suggest Arlecchino could potentially become playable, despite previous rumors about her status in Genshin Impact.

Liyue will reportedly welcome a new four-star character referred to as "Lion Dance" during Lantern Rite 2024, while the previously leaked Chiori will be a new Inazuma five-star and Sumeru's mummy girl will debut as a four-star.
While leaks have given an idea about Genshin Impact's future Fontaine additions and updates, HoYoverse recently revealed its plans for the final Sumeru update. The Version 3.8 Special Program confirmed the addition of a new limited-time area to Genshin Impact alongside brand-new skins for Klee and Kaeya. The update was also revealed to not feature a new character after previous rumors had suggested it would be the first Genshin Impact update to do so.
