Chasca is shaping up to be an exciting character in Genshin Impact, as a reliable source has revealed the first information about her ability kit. While most players have their sights on Xilonen and Mavuika in Genshin Impact, Chasca's feathery outfit and stylish hat have caught the attention of many a fan during her debut in the Ignition teaser for Version 5.0. A member of the Flower-Feather Clan, Chasca will already play a major role in the inaugural patch of Natlan, but is expected to headline Version 5.2.
The reason for this is twofold. The Natlan map expansion for Version 5.2 will feature the Flower-Feather Clan – who have made the volcanic highlands their home, and Chasca is rumored to debut on the Event Banners during the same patch. While the order of characters is always subject to change, Ororon is also expected to feature as a 4-Star Bow character in Version 5.2, and his outfit appears to have Flower-Feather decorations. While his Vision remains unknown, players are speculating that Ororon will be an Electro character, given that Chasca herself will fill the Anemo Bow hypercarry role.
Genshin Impact Leak Teases Mysterious New Character
Genshin Impact teases a mysterious character not yet seen in Natlan's marketing, and strongly implies whether he joins the playable cast.
According to FouL, Chasca is going to fulfill a rather desirable role often reserved for Anemo characters in Genshin Impact: the ability to fly. By tapping into her Nightsoul state, Chasca will be able to take to the skies for a limited time, which may likely be extended via Phlogiston in Natlan. In terms of combat skills, Chasca has been described as having the ability to absorb the elements (aside from Geo and Dendro), likely in a similar way to Wanderer. Given her earlier leaks, players are hoping that Chasca will fulfill the role of a Swirl hypercarry, a niche that certainly has room to grow.
Chasca Could Be An Anemo Hypercarry in Genshin Impact
Given that White already revealed Chasca would be an Anemo Main DPS, it lends his other leaks even bigger credence. One of these puts Citlali as a 4-Star character in Genshin Impact that will join the playable cast in Version 5.3, which is expected to launch on January 1, 2025. With this mountain of information put together, Genshin Impact players have a strong idea about the order in which characters will be released during the first half of the Natlan era.
That being said, a character's ability kit can always change prior to launch, as Arlecchino famously demonstrated during the beta for Version 4.6. It should also be noted that while Xianyun in Genshin Impact has a version of flying in her kit, the implementation leaves a lot to be desired. While an Anemo 5-Star character is always exciting, players should temper their expectations. Chasca is expected to debut on the Event Banners on November 20, 2024.
