The data for the Event Banners has been updated on the Genshin Impact beta servers, revealing that Gaming, Faruzan, Beidou, and Yanfei will join Iansan as the featured 4-Stars of Version 5.5. With a playable cast that is slowly approaching a hundred characters, Genshin Impact has the impossible task of designing a fair banner schedule. For Natlan, meta characters such as Neuvillette were prioritized over less popular units, and while the Chronicled Banner seeks to soothe the issue in the long term, many Genshin Impact players view it as a temporary solution.
Version 5.3 had four very strong 5-Star characters on its Event Banners, with Mavuika, Citlali, Arlecchino, and Clorinde all being featured over the course of the patch. While Mizuki and Sigewinne likely won't accumulate the same number of pulls, Furina and Wriothesley in the second half will more than make up for it. Lastly, the Event Banners for Version 5.5 of Genshin Impact will see the debut of Varesa, who will be accompanied by the reruns of Xianyun, Xilonen, and Venti.
Genshin Impact: Top 25 Support Characters And How To Use Them
DPS and healers might hog the limelight in Genshin Impact, but support characters are also important. Who are the best supports in the game?
According to the latest beta build, and as datamined by HomDGCat, the following 4-Star characters in Genshin Impact will feature on the Event Banners in Version 5.5: Iansan, Gaming, Faruzan, Beidou, Yanfei. While Iansan was guaranteed to appear on her introductory banner, the other 4-Stars are rather promising picks. Faruzan continues to be a premium Support for Anemo characters, and as such, she will likely be paired off with Xianyun. On the other hand, players hope that Iansan will join Varesa due to the strong synergy between their ability kits.
Genshin Impact: Event Banners for Version 5.5
- Varesa – 5-Star Electro Catalyst
- Xianyun – 5-Star Anemo Catalyst
- Xilonen – 5-Star Geo Sword
- Venti – 5-Star Anemo Bow
- Iansan – 4-Star Electro Polearm
- Gaming – 4-Star Pyro Claymore
- Faruzan – 4-Star Anemo Bow
- Beidou – 4-Star Electro Claymore
- Yanfei – 4-Star Pyro Catalyst
While the exact character order is unknown, there are a few important factors to keep in mind. Barring a few exceptions (such as Emilie), Genshin Impact tends to debut new 5-Stars in the first half of an update. Given the fact that Varesa is a Plunge hypercarry, and Xianyun is a Plunge healer, it makes sense that they would be paired together to maximize banner profit. On the other hand, Gaming in Genshin Impact is a Plunge hypercarry as well.
Taking these factors into account, the most likely first half of Version 5.5 will feature Varesa, Xianyun, Iansan, Gaming, and Faruzan. This leaves the second half with Xilonen, Venti, Beidou, Yanfei, and a currently unknown 4-Star character. Assuming this order ends up correct, the second half should have a particularly strong Weapon Banner in Genshin Impact, as Elegy for the End and Peak Patrol Song are powerful Signature Weapons. Version 5.5 is expected to launch on March 26, 2025.
