Each character typically receives their own "signature" weapon geared towards their playstyle, alongside a variety of generically powerful Genshin Impact weapons. A new leak is now giving more details about upcoming character Xilonen's release weapon.
While Genshin Impact has yet to officially reveal Xilonen's signature weapon, leaks have already started to give players an idea about her in-game Sword. Xilonen's Sword provides a variety of buffs to its wielder, providing bonuses to her DEF as well as her Normal and Charged Attack damage for hitting opponents. Xilonen's weapon also gives a stacking Elemental DMG buff to her team, with the buff increasing with more stacks of her weapon's main ability. Now, a new leak is showcasing a major change to the second effect that will benefit the weapon's holder.

Genshin Impact Leak Teases Change to Xilonen Signature Weapon
A recent leak shared by prominent Genshin Impact leaker Foul is showcasing a major buff to Xilonen's signature weapon. According to the post, the new change to Xilonen's weapon will apply the Elemental DMG bonus to all characters on the wielder's team, no longer excluding the user. The buff looks to offer a major incentive for players looking to use the Sword on other characters, serving as a helpful addition to characters who can imbue their Normal Attacks with elemental damage. Xilonen and her signature weapon will debut with Version 5.1, scheduled to launch in mid-October.
The changes to Xilonen's weapon come as the new Geo character's kit has already seen plenty of leaks ahead of her release. Xilonen is expected to join Genshin Impact as a sub-DPS or support character, dealing Geo damage based on her DEF and providing team-wide healing with her Elemental Burst. Xilonen will also make use of Natlan's new "Nightsoul Blessing" mechanic, with the character able to don a pair of roller skates for improved movement within Genshin Impact.
