A recent leak from Genshin Impact is giving some early hints about a brand-new area coming to the game in Version 6.2, said to be connected to upcoming character Durin. The launch of the newest world within the HoYoverse RPG has given players a wealth of new locales to explore throughout the island archipelago of Nod-Krai. Genshin Impact added multiple islands to the game as part of Nod-Krai's release, with players arriving on the bustling Lempo Isle and traveling to the Frostmoon Scions' Hiisi Island and a Fatui stronghold. Now, another new area is coming with Version 6.2.
HoYoverse has already given fans lots to be excited about with the release of the next major update for Genshin Impact. Version 6.2 will introduce two new characters to the game's roster, including the long-rumored addition of Durin as a playable character and fan-favorite Nod-Krai cast member Jahoda. Leaks have also suggested that a pair of Hexenzirkel members may make their in-game debut within the update, with both Nicole and Alice said to appear as part of the update's main story. A recent set of images shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker Kuroo is showing off the interior of a Durin-centric story domain in Version 6.2. The leak shows several images of a variety of fantastical environments, ranging from a dark and corrupted void and a dimly-lit townscape to a cozy interior parlor, similar to the appearance of the Imaginarium Theater. The location is said to feature within Durin's story quest in Version 6.2, set to release alongside Durin's playable debut in Genshin Impact. Version 6.2 is currently scheduled to release on December 3.
Genshin Impact's Version 6.2 update has teased lots more for the game beyond its cast of new characters making their debut. HoYoverse is rumored to be adding numerous buffs for older members of Genshin Impact's cast, with Hexenzirkel-adjacent characters like Venti, Klee, and Fischl said to be receiving changes. Leaks have also hinted at some of the re-run banners set to arrive with Version 6.2, bringing Venti, Xilonen, and Varesa back to the limited gacha banner.
While fans look ahead to the next update for Genshin Impact, the HoYoverse RPG is gearing up to roll out its current update's second half. The second half of Version 6.1 will bring back a pair of fan-favorite characters to the RPG, with both Arlecchino and Zhongli set to be featured on the banner alongside four-star characters Rosaria, Yun Jin, and Lan Yan. Version 6.1 also introduced Miliastra Wonderland, coming as the long-rumored user-generated content mode for the HoYoverse RPG. Genshin Impact fans should have lots to be excited about in the RPG's future.
