New Genshin Impact leaks are teasing a variety of character interactions associated with a new main event coming during the Version 5.4 update, hinting at multiple Mondstadt and Liyue characters. The massively popular RPG from HoYoverse has grown substantially since its initial launch in 2020, adding multiple new regions to the game alongside loads of new characters. The game most recently debuted its sixth playable region in Natlan, with leaks already starting to hint at Snezhnaya's introduction to the game. However, HoYoverse has often hearkened back to the game's early days with new events.

The annual Lantern Rite festivities typically feature a main event centered around the Liyue region, often adding new characters from the China-themed locale. Mondstadt, Inazuma, and Sumeru have also seen new events set within the regions, with Inazuma also rumored to be receiving a new character in Version 5.4. A recent update shared by Genshin Impact leaker Leakflow hints at several characters involved with Genshin Impact's next event. According to the leak, the event, dubbed "Traveler's Tales," will feature 23 different small scenarios starring some of Genshin Impact's earliest roster members. The event will include cast members from both Mondstadt and Liyue, with characters like Amber, Noelle, and Xingqiu featured as focus characters. "Traveler's Tales" will also reportedly feature cameos from other characters, hinting at appearances by Hu Tao and Klee among others.

Genshin Impact's new event comes as the RPG's past regions are rumored to see major new additions in the game's near future. Coinciding with leaks that Snezhnaya will be pushed back to Version 7.0, several rumored areas may be appearing during the RPG's Version 6 cycle. Mondstadt, in particular, was mentioned as part of the leak, suggesting that the long-rumored Dornman Port will be coming to the game alongside Fontaine's Mont Esus. Genshin Impact's Version 6 cycle is currently expected to begin during the summer of 2025.
Genshin Impact's newest character-focused event will have big shoes to fill, with Version 5.3 bringing plenty to the game as part of its most recent update. Version 5.3 saw the long-awaited introduction of Pyro Archon Mavuika to the game, also joined by fellow five-star character Citlali and four-star character Lan Yan. The update also boasts not only the final chapter of Natlan's Archon Quest, but also brings this year's edition of the previously-mentioned Lantern Rite festivities. Genshin Impact fans should have plenty to look forward to throughout its coming updates, with new characters and events on the way.
