A recent leak from Genshin Impact is teasing a brand-new area players will be able to explore in Natlan, showing off an underground location filled with magma and burnt trees. With just a month remaining until the launch of Version 5.0, HoYoverse has given fans plenty of reasons to get excited for the RPG's next playable region. Early trailers for the region have already given a glimpse at the unique geography of Natlan, as well as showcasing a plethora of characters players will meet in the new region. Now, a new explorable area is being teased.
Genshin Impact's in-game lore and teaser trailers have already hinted at a plethora of unique details about the next major region in the game. Natlan is said to be a region dominated by three major tribes that plays host to a dragon-like race of creatures known as Saurians. Leaks have hinted at the potential addition of Genshin Impact's first mounts, with early trailers also showing off multiple unique movement styles to explore Natlan's rivers and cliffs. New leaks are now showcasing one of the region's volcanic areas.

Genshin Impact Leak Shows Off Volcanic Natlan Area
A recent video shared by Genshin Impact leaker UmbraLeaks is showing off a brand-new volcanic area located in Natlan's underground. The leak shows upcoming Version 5.0 character Mualani wandering through a volcanic environment filled with burnt tree roots and small pockets of magma. The cave eventually leads to several small ponds of lava attached to larger lava waterfalls, also showcasing Mualani using her Elemental Skill to surf atop the lava. Natlan will debut in Genshin Impact with the launch of Version 5.0, currently scheduled for August 28.
The addition of Natlan is set to bring a plethora of unique environments for players to explore following its launch. Leaks have already begun to show off some of the major settlements in Natlan, with the first character teaser trailer giving an early idea of Natlan's in-game map. The region is also expected to receive multiple expansions throughout the updates following its release, with map updates leaked for both Versions 5.1 and 5.2. Natlan has also been teased to boast a plethora of hot springs through previous dialogue from Genshin Impact's NPCs.
New locations to explore are expected to be joined by plenty of new characters added to Genshin Impact's roster during Version 5.0. HoYoverse recently revealed the first three characters from Natlan to join the game's playable roster, with Mualani and Kinich set to be added as five-star units while Kachina will be a four-star character. Natlan will also feature another member of the Fatui Harbingers playing a major role, with Il Capitano teased to be a major antagonist within the region's main story. Only a few weeks remain before Genshin Impact players can finally take their first steps into Natlan.
