New Genshin Impact leaks have revealed the appearances of two new characters who could arrive as part of the Fontaine region. The world of Teyvat consists of seven different nations, each of which has its own divine ideals and symbolic element. So far the game has introduced four out of seven main nations to the game with Sumeru being the most recent addition.
Genshin Impact keeps updating its roster with almost every new update that arrives. The first banner cycle for the ongoing version 3.3 already introduced two new Anemo users, a member of Sumeru Akademiya named Faruzan, and Wanderer, previously known as Scaramouche, the 6th Fatui Harbinger.
Two new posts on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit apparently reveal the model concepts for the first Fontaine characters. While there is still no official information, Fontaine is expected to be the next region to arrive to the world of Teyvat. There is not a lot of information about these characters other than the design. Some fans have pointed out that they match the previous leaks about the two Archons in Fontaine. According to the post, the leaker that provided this image is sure that this character is one of the Archons. Her design is apparently based on a character named Seele from Honkai Impact 3rd, which is HoYoverse's second most popular title.
This would not be the first time for HoYoverse to borrow Honkai's character designs as many previous Genshin Impact units like Yae Miko, Raiden Shogun, Venti, and many more, have their respective counterparts in the other game. A couple of comments have pointed out that she has her Vision clearly displayed which is usually not the case for other Genshin Impact Archons like Venti or Zhongli.
The second character concept also matches the description for the other Archon, but to a much lesser extent, and they were no additional information provided by the leaker. According to some players, her overall color theme suggests that she could be a new Geo character in Genshin Impact, and they hope that HoYoverse gives her a five-star rarity.
Previous leaks have revealed that the main city of Fontaine could be attached to a vertical platform, surrounded by waterfalls. When it comes to its exact location, the Hydro nation is expected to be placed west of the current Liyue region. It should be noted that these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt since Fontaine's official release is many months away.
Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, and a Switch port is also in development.
