The game's world is littered with treasure chests, offering both in-game resources and Primogems, as well as Genshin Impact's regional Oculi collectibles providing special bonuses and upgrades. Now, finding treasure chests in a player's world is going to be a bit easier.
Through Genshin Impact's crafting system, players are able to acquire multiple new Gadgets to make finding the game's hidden treasures easier. Oculus Resonance Stones point players towards the hidden Oculus collectibles, allowing fans to easily track down items they may have missed during their adventure. The game's Treasure Compasses function similarly for chests, giving players a path to follow in order to find chests within a given area. Now, a new change is looking to make the Treasure Compass easier to use within Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Leak Teasing Changes to Treasure Compasses
A recent leak shared to the Genshin Impact leaks subreddit via leaker Team Mew details the new changes coming to Genshin Impact's Treasure Compasses. According to the post, HoYoverse is planning to remove the light trails associated with the Treasure Compass, used to guide players in the direction of chests. Instead, the new update to the Gadgets will place a marker on Genshin Impact's in-game minimap, signalling the location of the chest. The new fix will even reportedly inform players of whether a chest is located underground or underwater.
The new change to Genshin Impact's Treasure Compasses comes as one of several quality-of-life changes made since the launch of Fontaine. Version 4.1 saw the long-awaited overhaul of the game's Daily Commission system, offering alternative forms of progression to the typical Daily Missions. Genshin Impact's upcoming Version 4.6 is expected to introduce several changes as well, including an overhaul of the world map and changes to the Serenitea Pot. The Treasure Compass change is expected to come with Version 4.6, currently scheduled for April 24.
