A new Genshin Impact leak suggests that Snezhnaya will be released in the 7.0 update, instead of the expected 6.0. Genshin Impact hasn't wrapped up its Natlan Archon Quest yet, but fans are already excited to know what the Cryo Nation might have in store for them.
Genshin Impact will soon launch Version 5.3 and with it will come the final chapter of the Natlan Archon Quest, called "Incandescent Ode of Resurrection." HoYoverse had previously revealed this title in 2020 through the Teyvat promotional trailer. In the same video, it was teased that after Natlan would come the mysterious Nation of Snezhnaya. Per Genshin Impact's tradition of releasing a new Nation with every new patch cycle, fans have long speculated that the Cryo Nation would debut in Version 6.0. However, a new leak about Snezhnaya's launch may have disappointing news for players.

Genshin Impact reveals the lineup of featured characters for Version 5.3, as the Weapon Banners shape up to be some of the best in recent memory.
Prominent Genshin Impact leaker Full Stop Chan has reported that Snezhnaya would arrive in Version 7.0. The leak also suggests that the region of Nod-Krai should be introduced in the 6.0 update. Nod-Krai was mentioned in the game's latest Liben event and was confirmed as a city in the south of Snezhnaya where people from all of Teyvat gather. According to Genshin Impact lore, Nod-Krai has a harsh atmosphere due to the lack of regulative authorities aside from the Voynich Guild. It is worth mentioning that, during the Version 5.3 official livestream, developer HoYoverse confirmed that Nod-Krai will be added to the RPG sometime in 2025. Earlier Genshin Impact leaks about Snezhnaya's location reported that the Cryo Nation directly borders Natlan, so there is a possibility that the rumors referred to the city of Nod-Krai.
Genshin Impact Leak Teases Snezhnaya's Release for Version 7.0
While the leak reports that Snezhnaya would launch in a later patch cycle, it does not detail how many updates would come after Version 6.0. Moreover, leaks should be taken with a grain of salt as they are not official sources of information. Players will have to wait until HoYoverse gives an official update about Snezhnaya after the conclusion of Natlan. Genshin Impact Version 5.3 is expected to arrive on January 1, 2025. The update will feature a new Lantern Rite and Mavuika and Citlali's banners. Genshin Impact has also teased several upcoming characters for the first six months of 2025, with the highly-awaited Iansan and Skirk on the list.
