A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more intriguing details about a character named Skirk, who is expected to join the roster in an upcoming update. Since Skirk's official appearance back in Genshin Impact Version 4.2, Skirk has quickly become one of the most anticipated characters in the game.
Whenever a major region is introduced, players are usually most excited about the release of two specific character types: an Archon, who typically takes the spotlight, and a Harbinger, who often serves as the main villain. So far, the current Natlan storyline has hinted that Capitano, the primary Harbinger antagonist of the Pyro nation, won’t be joining the playable roster anytime soon. This has led many fans to believe that HoYoverse will likely add another popular character in his place, and Skirk seems to be a prime candidate.

A credible Genshin Impact leaker named Dim has shared some interesting details about Skirk that may hint at her role on the battlefield. According to the leak, she possesses a talent called Reason Beyond Reason, which summons a Void Rift when a nearby party member triggers one of the following Genshin Impact Elemental Reactions: Frozen, Superconduct, Cryo Swirl, or Crystallize. This effect can be triggered every 2.5 seconds, and up to three rifts can exist on the field at once. When Skirk hits an enemy with a Charged Attack while in a special stance, she absorbs these rifts to trigger an AoE attack. Each absorbed rift grants her eight stacks of an effect called Serpent’s Subtlety.
Genshin Impact: Skirk Talents, Element and Release Date Expectations
Another talent, Return to Oblivion, allows Skirk to gain a special effect called Death’s Crossing when a Hydro or Cryo party member deals Elemental Damage. Like the previous talent, Skirk can accumulate up to three stacks of Death’s Crossing, with the effect lasting for 18 seconds. During this time, her Normal Attacks and Elemental Burst receive a significant damage boost. The leak notes that this effect is only triggered when a Cryo party member, other than Skirk, deals Elemental Damage, strongly suggesting that she will be a new Cryo user in Genshin Impact.
Although Skirk has made only a few in-game appearances, the official storyline reveals she is tied to the Abyss. She is also said to be a disciple of Surtalogi, the master of the All-Devouring Narwhal.
