HoYoverse has made numerous improvements, ranging from overhauling the Daily Commission system and adding in-game Artifact suggestions to introducing new systems for tracking valuable Genshin Impact resources. Now, a recent leak is teasing a significant change to player accounts.
While Genshin Impact offers a plethora of challenges for co-op players to take on together alongside exploring its world, the game's servers have often made teaming up difficult. Genshin Impact features four main servers for players to choose from when creating an account, with North America, Europe, Asia, and Taiwan receiving their own servers. Genshin Impact's servers are fully disconnected from one another, with players unable to transfer accounts or add friends from other regions. According to the leak, HoYoverse is working on a system for players to "transfer" their Genshin Impact accounts, assumed to be referring to a cross-region transfer for fans looking to move their account between servers. The transfer is said to "take some time" with the player's Genshin Impact account considered as banned while the cross-region move is being completed. The leak does not confirm a time frame for the release of Genshin Impact's transfer system.
The potential change to Genshin Impact accounts would be a major quality-of-life update as HoYoverse has continued to improve the game in recent months. Version 5.0's debut earlier this week brought several new features to Genshin Impact, including the previously mentioned local specialty tracker and a customizable Artifact item.
