The recently released Version 5.3 brought back a Lantern Rite tradition to the game, giving players the chance to pick up their choice of a free four-star Liyue character. Now, the next update's event will look to give even more special rewards.
While Genshin Impact only recently rolled out Version 5.3, leaks and official teasers have already begun to hint at what's to come in the game's next version. HoYoverse officially revealed Yumemizuki Mizuki as the newest character coming to the RPG, the first Inazuma character since Chiori in Version 4.3. The update is also expected to see fans return to the Japan-themed island nation for Version 5.4's main event, with more events in past regions planned. A new leak shared to the Genshin Impact leaks subreddit is showing off an in-game image of Version 5.4's event-exclusive weapon. The weapon, expected to be a polearm within Genshin Impact, features a one-eyed face sticking its tongue out and appears to be fashioned after a lantern with the flame as the spear's tip. The weapon bears a striking similarity to a previous Genshin Impact event weapon, resembling the "Toukabou Shigure" four-star sword. The new event weapon and Version 5.4 are expected to launch on February 12.
The addition of a new event polearm to Genshin Impact is expected to be a massive boon for Genshin Impact's spear-wielding characters, according to previous leaks. The weapon is said to sport 30.6% Energy Recharge as its main stat at Level 90, with the holder gaining Attack and Movement Speed after using an Elemental Skill. The weapon's early leaks set it up to be a powerful option for several Polearm characters, particularly favoring characters like Xiangling and Hu Tao.
