From the winding channels of the Children of Echoes' Tequemecan Valley to the mountainous home of the Scions of the Canopy, Natlan's debut features a variety of diverse landscapes. Now, even more new areas are said to be coming with Version 5.1.

Genshin Impact Leak Shows New Version 5.1 Areas
A new leak shared by Genshin Impact leaker Leakflow is showing off multiple new areas set to come to Natlan during Version 5.1. The images from the leak show off a plethora of dark and dreary environments, showing clear signs of corruption from the Abyss throughout the landscape. The visuals also show off several of the Abyssal Pylons first seen in Version 5.0's Archon Quest, suggesting players will have to battle more enemies from the Abyss during the new story. Version 5.1 of Genshin Impact is currently scheduled for release on October 9.
The addition of new areas tainted by the Abyss in Version 5.1 comes as the mysterious group has been one of the most prominent antagonists throughout the RPG's lifespan. The Abyss has served as a central aspect of the story for the Traveler, with the main character's sibling revealed to have aligned themselves with the group. The Abyss also has several connections to the ancient ruined kingdom of Khaenri'ah, with Dainsleif's Archon Quests often involving the mysterious character clashing with the Abyss.
