Recent Genshin Impact leaks have revealed more information about two upcoming characters, Lyney and Lynette. There has been a lot of hype around both of these characters since their appearance in one of the game's first trailer videos back in 2020. They are expected to arrive in the next major region which is confirmed to be Fontaine.
Genshin Impact's official storyline describes Teyvat as an enormous continent that consists of seven main regions, each of which has its representative element and an Archon who serves as the nation's main protector. So far the game has introduced only four out of the seven major regions with Sumeru being the latest addition.
A popular Genshin Impact leaker named merlin_impact has revealed more information about the famous sibling duo Lyney and Lynette. According to the leaks, Lyney will be a five-star character that uses the Pyro Vision. His weapon of choice will apparently be the bow which would make him the second five-star Pyro character in Genshin Impact to use this weapon type after Yoimiya. The famous Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview video has revealed that Lyney is a young male character with pale skin and violet eyes. He's probably most recognizable for his unique top hat and back cape.
According to the leaks, Lyney's sister Lynette will have a lower four-star rarity. She will apparently be a four-star Anemo sword user which will make her the first four-star unit that has this element and weapon combination. Even though merlin_impact is one of the most credible leakers in the community, these character descriptions should still be taken with a grain of salt since the release of Genshin Impact's next major region is still a couple of months away.
There is also not a lot of confirmed information about Fontaine other than that it's the home of the Hydro Archon known as Focalors. According to recent rumors, Fontaine will be located west of the current Liyue region and north of the recently introduced Sumeru deserts. Fans expect the Hydro nation to be filled with lakes, rivers, and waterfalls.
Credible leakers have also been hinting that Fontaine will not get released until one of the first two major regions, Mondstadt and Liyue, receive a new expansion. The current version of Mondstadt represents only around 60% of the whole region and many players are excited to finally meet legendary characters like Varka or Alice.
