A Genshin Impact leak showed scrapped gameplay animations for Klee, confirming that the developers changed some of her assets three and a half years ago. Genshin Impact's Klee made her introduction with the limited-time Sparkling Steps event banner, and she sometimes remained relevant in the ever-changing meta. However, the five-star Catalyst wielder has fallen out of favor after HoYoverse brought more DPS characters to the current roster.
Klee is a Pyro unit who serves as a DPS for her team and deals massive AoE damage to opponents. Due to being a Catalyst wielder, her normal and charged attacks do as much damage as other characters' skills, but they consume a certain amount of stamina. She has a powerful elemental skill, Jumpy Dumpty, which throws out a bomb and hits enemies from a distance. The majority of Klee's Constellations increase the effectiveness of her burst and skill, with one regenerating energy for the entire team. It's worth noting that this on-field DPS reaches her max power when combined with decent support units that can boost her from a distance.

A new Genshin Impact chart reveals the most used characters during the first phase of the Version 4.3 update's Spiral Abyss domain.
A recent Genshin Impact leak from Ubatcha revealed that Klee had some different gameplay animations when she was considered to be a four-star character. The developers seem to have scrapped her unique walking animation, which many fans on Reddit think would fit her design. Klee's normal attack, burst, and skill remained nearly the same; however, she once had a green glider that looked similar to the Sumeru-themed Wings of the Forest. These animations should be placeholders, considering the leak is probably from when Genshin Impact was still in beta.
Klee is one of the two Genshin Impact characters who received an exclusive skin in version 3.8, with the other being the four-star Sword user Kaeya. Since her initial release in October 2020, she has had a couple of reruns that allowed players to get new Constellations. In terms of banner revenue, Klee's first rerun has crossed over $3.5 million, according to a chart shared in summer 2023.
In the past few years, some Genshin Impact fans showed their love for Klee by designing her custom skins and making tattoos that feature the Mondstadt-based child unit. Recently, one created a real-life version of Klee's floating bomb, while another made concept art that combines her with Honkai: Star Rail's Hook. It will be interesting to see if more fan creations based on the Pyro DPS character will be shared within the Genshin Impact community.
