Summary

  • Imaginarium Theater in Version 5.3 offers cosmetic rewards and requires strategic team building.
  • Season 7 of the Imaginarium Theater will feature Pyro, Cryo, and Geo elements in January 2025, according to the leak.

The latest build on the beta servers for Genshin Impact has revealed what players can expect from the Imaginarium Theater in Version 5.3. While the Spiral Abyss has long been the designated endgame in Genshin Impact, the Imaginarium Theater has offered some much needed variety after its introduction in Version 4.7. Not only is it an avenue for players to obtain cosmetic rewards, but the Imaginarium Theater also forces them to think outside the box when it comes to building a Genshin Impact team.

While the Imaginarium Theater in Genshin Impact has its own lineup of Opening Characters that players can freely use, it can sometimes offer a hint as to which 5-Stars will feature on the Event Banners during its respective patch. It should be noted that this isn't always the case, as Wriothesley has yet to appear on the Event Banners despite being a Special Guest in Season 1.

As datamined by HomDGCat, Season 7 of the Imaginarium Theater will run in January 2025 and will feature three elements: Pyro, Cryo, and Geo. Given how popular Ganyu can be in Melt teams, she is, rather predictably, one of the Opening Characters for Season 7. Navia in Genshin Impact is also notably present in the lineup, which should guarantee players a frontloaded hypercarry capable of shredding through most defenses. However, among the Special Guests, players can find Ayato and Xianyun – with both characters being due for a re-run.

Genshin Impact: Imaginarium Theater Season 7 Details

  • Ganyu
  • Kaeya
  • Navia
  • Noelle

Special Guests

  • Ayato
  • Xianyun

While an Ayato or Xianyun re-run would be welcomed by the Genshin Impact community, there is one important factor to consider. It has been over 500 days since Ganyu's re-run, and as an Opening Character in an Imaginarium Theater revolving around Melt, an argument could be made that she deserves a spot on the Event Banners in Version 5.3. Realistically, Xianyun in Genshin Impact is the most likely candidate to join Citlali during the second half of the update, but it's no secret that plenty of players are hoping for Ganyu's return.

It should be noted that only Mavuika and Citlali are confirmed for the Event Banners in Version 5.3, which is slated to launch on January 1, 2024. The Imaginarium Theater for February 2025 remains unknown, but should still fall within the length of Version 5.3. The second half of the update will notably feature the Lantern Rite in Genshin Impact, which will allow players to obtain a free 4-Star character from Liyue. Given the nature of Season 7, someone like Gaming would probably be the safest pick.
