New Genshin Impact leaks have revealed more information about the playable characters that could join the roster over the next couple of months. With the release of a new main region, players can expect the upcoming updates to be packed with content which includes new character additions.
The ongoing Genshin Impact version 4.0 has already introduced two new characters, Lyney and his sister Lynette who are currently available on the limited banner. The second part of the update will also add a new playable unit named Freminet who is confirmed to be a Cryo claymore user.
Going by the pattern HoYoverse established with their previous region releases, players can expect up to three new characters in each of the upcoming updates. HoYoverse has already confirmed that Genshin Impact update 4.1 will add two new characters, Neuvillette and Wriothesley, both of whom are expected to have a five-star rarity which means that their releases will most likely be spread over the update's two banner cycles. According to the post, version 4.2 will introduce probably the most popular Fontaine character, Furina, who serves as Fontaine's Hydro Archon.
There is not a lot of official information about the Fontaine Archon Focalors other than that she will be a Hydro user with a five-star rarity. When it comes to her weapon type, she is rumored to be a sword user which will make her the first Archon to have this weapon type. Over the last couple of months, leaks have been hinting that her kit will be related to manipulating gravity and creating various elemental lifeforms.
According to the post, version 4.3 will add Navia who is also known as the president of the Spina di Rosula. There is a lot of hype around this character probably because she will be the first Geo user to join the playable roster in almost two years. The last released Geo character was Yun Jin who arrived way back in January 2022.
Genshin Impact update 4.3 will apparently introduce the Cloud Retainer which means that the main storyline could return to the Liyue region and many fans speculate that her release will be tied to the annual Lantern Rite Festival. Updates 4.4 and 4.5 could introduce Clorinde who already made an in-game appearance, and the infamous Harbinger Arlecchino who is expected to be the main villain of the Fontaine storyline.
