The official Genshin Impact 2.5 livestream event has revealed some of the content that will arrive in the foreseeable future. Those additions will include a new region which will have its own world boss.

The live stream has also confirmed that the monster's name will be Ruin Serpent and the appearance reveals it belongs to the Automaton enemy type. Ruin Serpent is scheduled to arrive in the upcoming Genshin Impact update 2.6 which is expected to arrive around March 30.

A video posted on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit shows a fight between the upcoming Genshin Impact character Ayato and the new Ruin Serpent enemy. Ruin Serpent is a new boss that has officially been announced in the Genshin Impact 2.5 live stream and will arrive alongside a new region named Chasm.

The second part of the video shows the Ruin Serpent channeling a very special attack that took a huge chunk of Ayato's health. This means that while fighting this boss, players should include a character that can dodge or deflect this attack. The video also reveals that, based on its size, the Ruin Serpent should be a brand new Genshin Impact world boss which is not always the case for the Automaton enemy type.

Every update in the game has its own beta phase, and it almost always reveals the majority of the upcoming content that will arrive before Hoyoverse gives official announcements. These games usually help create a lot of hype, especially if the new update includes a new character or a region. After many what were considered filler updates, 2.6 will bring two major additions: a new Genshin Impact DPS character and a long-awaited region that had its name displayed on the current in-game map of Teyvat.

According to multiple map leaks, Chasm will apparently have an interesting radial design with numerous teleport waypoints which includes a new Statue of The Seven. Even though there is a lot of expectation for this huge region, multiple rumors claim that story-vise it will only serve as a bridging point between Liyue and another major Genshin Impact nation named Sumeru. Each nation in the game has its own Archon and its divine ideals. In the case of Sumeru, the God of Wisdom rules in the pursuit of all knowledge. Even though he is one of the rare leaders whose identity hasn't been revealed yet, it is well known that Sumeru's Archon is the youngest out of the seven Genshin Impact Archons.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, and a Nintendo Switch version in development.
