When she's not spending her time getting Arataki Itto and the rest of his gang out of trouble, Kuki Shinobu is a great Electro sword user in Genshin Impact. She's a four-star character that serves as the Arataki Gang's Deputy Leader, and is one of the more stable-headed and professional members, especially compared to the gang's infamous leader.

Anyone looking to add this awesomely designed character to their team will want to level her up, upgrade her talents, and ascend her. To do all of that, Kuki Shinobu will need to seek out the following materials.

Leveling Materials

Every character in Genshin Impact uses the same amount of EXP to hit the maximum level of 90, with that total split between ascension levels, and Kuki Shinobu is no exception.

Gemstones - Where to Find Vajrada Amethyst

This Electro elemental gem is found in a few ways, like the Parametric Transformer, souvenir shops, and from daily commissions. However, most of it will come from defeating the bosses who can drop it, which include the following:

• Iniquitous Baptist
• Millennial Pearl Seahorse
• Dvalin (Confront Stormterror)
• Childe (Enter the Golden House)

• The Shogun (End of the Oneiric Euthymia)
• Scaramouche (Joururi Workshop)

*Azhdaha and the Primo Geovishap can only drop Vajrada Amethyst when infused with Electro!

Enemy Drop - Where to Find Specter Drops

Specters are one of the most hated mobs in the game, so it's unfortunate that Kuki Shinobu uses their materials in her ascension. Nonetheless, if she is going to ascend, the player will need to hunt them down and defeat them (or just purchase them from the Paimon menu shop with Stardust/Starglitter).

These annoying enemies can be found on Seirai Island, Watatsumi Island, and in Enkanomiya. In Enakomiya, they're found in decent numbers in the Serpent's Bowels area and on the southernmost island, Kunado's Locus. A few can also be found dotted around Sumeru.

Higher-level Specters can drop better materials, as follows:

Boss Drop - How to Get Runic Fang

Unsealing and diving deep into the Chasm in Liyue will allow the player to find and battle the Ruin Serpent. This massive automaton is a boss that will drop Runic Fangs when defeated (and when the player pays the Resin price). This is the boss drop that Kuki Shinobu uses in her ascension.

Local Specialty - Where to Find Naku Weed

For a while, Yoimiya was the only character who uses Naku Weed in their ascension, but now there's another: Kuki Shinobu. She'll need a ton of this strange purple plant to ascend, but luckily, it's pretty easy to find.

Naku Weed can be found wherever there is high Electro concentration. This includes Seirai Island, Mt. Yougou, and near the Mikage Furnace. It's also sold by Aoi, the merchant who runs the grocery store in Inazuma City. She sells five of them for 1,000 Mora each, restocking every three days. It can also be grown in the Serenitea Pot!

Talent Books - Elegance

Kuki Shinobu joins Ayaka, Itto, the Electro Traveler, Kujou Sara, and her own fellow gang member, Itto, in leveling up her talents with the Elegance books. These can be found by clearing the Violet Court domain on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Trounce Materials - Tears of the Calamitous God

This trounce material can be obtained by winning the fight against the Shogun in the End of the Oneiric Euthymia trounce. After defeating the Shogun, the player will need to pay the Resin price to claim the rewards.
