Dendro claymore user and bearer of the ancient name Malipo, Kinich is the third Natlan character released after Kachina and Mualani in Genshin Impact. Fighting alongside his companion K'uhul Ajaw, the Almighty Dragonlord, Kinich is a member of the Scions of the Canopy.
Players will become pretty familiar with Kinich and Ajaw during the Natlan Archon Quest, and for those who decided to add them to their team, they'll need some items for ascension and talent upgrades, outlined in this guide.
Ascension Levels and Requirements
Every character in the game uses the same amount of EXP and Mora to reach level 90, which is the highest possible level. Here's a breakdown of how much is needed between each ascension level:

Gemstones - Where to Find Nagadus Emerald
As a Dendro character, Kinich needs some Nagadus Emerald of varying sizes to ascend. This Dendro elemental gem can be found in many of the same ways as its fellow gems, like daily commission bonuses and from the Parametric Transformer. However, most of it will come from defeating bosses.
The bosses who can drop Nagadus Emerald are:
- Jadeplume Terrorshroom
- Dendro Hypostasis
- Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King
- The Guardian of Apep's Oasis (The Realm of New Beginnings)

Enemy Drop - Where to Find Saurian Fangs
While they're mostly known for being companions and family members of the people of Natlan, the resident Saurians can also be enemies the player must fight. Doing so can result in them dropping fangs, which Kinich needs for ascension.
At higher levels, Saurians can drop better quality fangs.

Boss Drop - How to Get Overripe Flamegranate
The boss item of choice for Kinich's ascension is, fittingly, from the Scions of the Canopy's great hero of legend, Kongamato, also known as the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King. The item is called an Overripe Flamegranate,and can only be obtained by finishing this boss fight.
Find Kongamato near the Scions of the Canopy's base of operations, in an underground cave.
Local Specialty - Saurian Claw Succulent
There are large pink plants that grow around Natlan, called Saurian Claw Succulents for their resemblance to a Saurian's claws. Kinich needs 168 of them to ascend to max level!
Found mainly in Tequemecan Valley, these succulents respawn every 48 hours after being harvested. For a full list of locations, check out our guide

Talent Books - Kindling
The talent series Kinich uses is the Kindling set. These Natlan talent books can be obtained by clearing the Blazing Ruins domain on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Trounce Materials - Denial and Judgment
Defeating the Knave in her trounce domain fight can result in obtaining some of her unique trounce items, used to upgrade some characters' talents. One of them is an item called Denial and Judgment, which Kinich needs for his talents. This fight is unlocked only after completing Arlecchino's Story Quest.
