According to a newly revealed chart, Genshin Impact players will be able to obtain around 78 Intertwined Wishes throughout Version 5.8 – a massive jump when compared to the previous two updates. With the Natlan era coming to a close, Genshin Impact players can share their farewells via the annual Summer Event. In 2025, the Summer Event will take place on Tenochitzotoc, the island where Natlan's war against the Abyss began, and also the location of the Mare Jivari itself.
In terms of content, players will get to explore a whole new zone, and unlike previous Summer Events in Genshin Impact, the resort at Tenochitzotoc will be permanent. Version 5.8 will also feature a new Archon Quest that will serve as a prologue to Nod-Krai, and it will also introduce Ineffa, a 5-Star Electro Polearm and the first Nod-Krai character in Genshin Impact. By all counts, Version 5.8 is shaping up to be a stacked update, and this is certainly reflected in its estimated Primogem count.
Genshin Impact Leaks Banner Characters for Version 5.8
As Version 5.8 kicks off its beta testing, Genshin impact players can find out which 5-Star characters will feature on the update's Event Banners.
As revealed by Hiragara, Version 5.8 will allow players to obtain 78 Intertwined Wishes as free-to-play accounts, whereas purchasing the Battle Pass and Welkin Moon ups this number to 110 Intertwined Wishes. The bulk of Version 5.8's Primogems comes from having two rotations of the Imaginarium Theater, on top of having the Summer Event, Archon Quest, and a new zone all in the same patch. While the Welkin Moon and Battle Pass in Genshin Impact continue to be its best investments, even free-to-play accounts will be able to save up enough Primogems for a 5-Star.

As for who to spend pulls on, Ineffa in Genshin Impact is an obvious choice. She's a Shield Support who elevates Electro-Charged teams while ushering in the Nod-Krai era of Lunar Elemental Reactions at the same time. For players who prefer a "wait and see" approach, their Primogems may be better served on Citlali, coincidentally also a Shield Support character. However, if players don't have any Melt or Freeze teams to slot Citlali in, it may be best to save their currency for Version 6.0.
Nod-Krai in Genshin Impact is set to introduce major story characters to the playable cast, with Durin, Varka, Columbina, and Nicole all being candidates. There is no guarantee that the next region will front-load its Primogems like Natlan did, so players should try to be responsible with their Intertwined Wishes. Version 5.8 is expected to launch on July 30, 2025.
