It is said that the
Snow-Tombed Starsilver once belonged to a hero from another world named Imunlaukr in Genshin Impact. The Claymore was originally used by the people of Sal Vindagnyr but was later gifted to the outlander by the chief priest Varuch’s daughter whose name was The Princess.
Genshin Impact: Sword Weapon Tier List
In Genshin Impact, knowing which swords get the job done is handy information. This tier list should help players prioritize the best ones.
Although the Snow-Tombed Starsilver is a low-tier 4-Star Claymore in Genshin Impact, its performance isn’t that bad. Obtaining the Snow-Tombed Starsilver won’t be easy, as it requires solving a very long puzzle that includes eight Stone Tablets scattered around Dragonspine, Mondstadt.
Updated on October 31, 2023, by Nahda Nabiilah: Unlike other weapons in Genshin Impact where players can obtain them via spending Acquaint Fate and Intertwined Fate on Banners, the Snow-Tombed Starsilver Claymore is acquired by solving a long puzzle in Dragonspine. Travelers are tasked with reading Stone Tablets scattered around the snowy area to light up the torches found next to the Murals inside the Snow-Tombed Starsilver Claymore’s cave. Upon obtaining the Claymore in Genshin Impact, the Glacial Steel Achievement is rewarded which falls under the Wonders of the World category.
How To Get Snow-Tombed Starsilver Claymore In Genshin Impact
There are two ways players can get a Snow-Tombed Starsilver Claymore in Genshin Impact:
- Finish a hidden objective in Dragonspine
- Forge the weapon at the Blacksmith
However, before players can begin forging the weapon, they must first obtain the required Blueprint. The Blueprint can be obtained by finishing the hidden objective (point #1), so players basically will get the Claymore before they can forge the Snow-Tombed Starsilver.
The following materials are required to forge a Snow-Tombed Starsilver Claymore:
-
Northlander Claymore Billet
Billet x1
-
Crystal Chunk
x50
-
Starsilver
x50
-
Mora
x500
The only renewable source for the Northlander Claymore Billet in Genshin Impact is getting it via the Weekly Boss. Other than that, this rare item is also rewarded from certain events or explorations. For example, reaching level 9 of the Lumenstone Adjuvant in the Chasm or level 14 on Inazuma's Sacred Sakura Tree. Since the release of Sumeru, it's also possible to convert Midlander Billet to its Northlander counterpart by spending two Dream Solvents.
Meanwhile, Crystal Chunk must be farmed from the open world, while Genshin Impact Starsilver is exclusively available in the snowy mountains of Dragonspine.
How To Trigger The Snow-Tombed Starsilver Quest In Genshin Impact
To trigger the Snow-Tombed Starsilver Quest in Genshin Impact, players need to travel to the Dragonspine Statue of the Seven and enter the cave in the southwest.
There, Travelers will find a sealed mechanism and eight symbols engraved on the surrounding wall. The objective is to find all eight Stone Tablets to activate all the symbols.
First Stone Tablet Location
In the same cave where the locked mechanism is, there’s a Stone Tablet right to its left. Interact with it to light up a symbol on the wall.
Second Stone Tablet Location
Travel to the Snow-Covered Path Teleport Waypoint and head east past the Fatui Agents camp until the second Stone Tablet appears, activate it.
Third Stone Tablet Location
The closest teleporter to the third Stone Tablet is the Skyfrost Nail Teleport Waypoint. From there, glide to the platform on the left and then climb the slope.
Follow the path up and players should end up in an open area where there’s a slumbering Ruin Grader. On the end of the path is the third Stone Tablet.

Within the Claymore users in Genshin Impact, which character is the best?
Fourth Stone Tablet Location
From the third tablet location, turn around and jump down to the platform below. After that, proceed north to encounter a sealed room.
Unlocking it requires three special boxes: the Princess’ Box, the Priest’s Box, and the Scribe’s Box. After getting the three items, unlock the room to open two chests and gain access to the fourth Stone Tablet.
Fifth Stone Tablet Location
From the Starglow Cavern Teleport Waypoint, glide west around the mountain and land inside the square-shaped area.
Here, Travelers need to solve a puzzle to get to the fifth Stone Tablet, which is hidden behind an Ancient Rimes that can only be broken by using Scarlet Quartz.
Sixth Stone Tablet Location
To get the sixth Stone Tablet, teleport to the Waypoint southeast of the Wyrmrest Valley and cross the broken bridge. Keep going up until a Ruin Grader appears. Defeat it and observe the sixth Stone Tablet.
Seventh Stone Tablet Location
The seventh Stone Tablet is located southwest of the Wyrmrest Valley, beneath the Cryo Hypostasis.
To get there, teleport to the Entombed City - Outskirts Waypoint and head northeast into a tunnel that leads to the seventh Stone Tablet.
Eighth Stone Tablet Location
The last Stone Tablet is probably the hardest to get, as players must unlock the Peak of Vindagnyr Domain to be able to interact with it.
Finally, after observing all the Stone Tablets, go back to the cave near the Entombed City - Ancient Palace Statue of the Seven and activate the previously locked mechanism. Enter the Mural Room and open the chest to get the Memory of the Entombed City Diagram, which allows Travelers to forge the Snow-Tombed Starsilver.
Next, use Pyro to light the four torches inside the room and after a small cutscene, the Snow-Tombed Starsilver will appear. Collecting the Claymore rewards players with the Wonders of the World Genshin Impact Achievement, Glacial Steel.
