The new area of Genshin Impact 4.1 has brought a considerable amount of lore, terrain, and bosses for players to challenge. The two surface mini-bosses consist of Yseut “The Cold Hand” and the Automated Supercomputing Field Generator. They both belong under the new category of monsters that was introduced with the new region and are also Local Legends, each stacked with 3 million HP. This puts these enemies under the Mini-Boss category, and players will have to strategically curate their teams to defeat each one.

Since Genshin Impact has a variety of characters to choose from, with special skills to combat each of these challenging bosses, Travelers can use elemental reactions to help. Each boss also grants players a Hidden Achievement once defeated that carries 5 Primogems and sometimes a Precious Chest.

Where To Find Yseut

Genshin Impact- Yseut Location

As an enemy, Yseut is a heavier version of the Fatui Frost Operative, a category of new mob enemies that were released in 4.1. She can be found in the Liffey Region, west of the Statue of Seven near a clearing.

How To Beat Yseut

An important factor to note before assembling a team is the following characteristics that Yseut has:

  • Yseut deals a ton of damage and can stun-lock characters to an onslaught of attacks.
  • Yseut inflicts Bond of Life. This refrains characters from healing until they reach a specific drop in their health.
  • Since attacks are Cryo-based, fighting in the rain and using Hydro characters are not recommended, as that will leave players open to freezing.

How to Combat Bond of Life Status

During the fight, Yseut will occasionally inflict Bond of Life on certain characters. This will absorb any healing effects that the character is under and prevent them from recovering any HP. The only way to clear the Bond of Life is to heal the character to an amount equal to the Bond. Bringing healers that can periodically retain a character's HP for a given period of time would be beneficial here. Players should note that the Bond of Life stacks and needs to be immediately removed since it has a long duration.

Using Crowd Control To Beat Yseut

Sticking to a hard Crowd Control team would be the best way to stun Yseut as she, like every other enemy on the surface, is susceptible to this.

Players need to capitalize on the heavy hitters, shielders, and their best healers when fighting Yseut.

Archon team

Players can use Venti’s crowd control to stun Yseut and take advantage of basic Overworld enemy weaknesses. As this boss requires a lot of patience from the players, the ER stat that Raiden Shogun and Venti offer will keep Energy up and allow the spamming of Raiden’s and Zhongli’s Ultimates.

  • Raiden Shogun + Venti (CC) + Zhongli + Bennett/ Kuki Shinobu/ Baizhu

International teams

International teams consist of characters from different nations that players can easily make use of. For instance, using electro with Alhaitham’s Dendro ability can help increase Aggravate DMG. Additionally, players should also take advantage of Sucrose and Venti’s CC to not only incapacitate Yseut but also act as a battery for characters like Xiao or Wanderer.

  • Alhaitham + Kuki Shinobu + Baizhu + Sucrose/ Venti (CC)
  • Xiao + Sucrose + Sangonomiya Kokomi + Layla (Shield)

AoE DMG teams

Travelers should keep in mind that, like all Frost Operatives, Yseut tends to move around a lot, so it's possible to bait her with characters that have Taunt skills and spam any AoE DMG dealing characters they own.

  • Cyno + Dehya + Dori + Zhongli
  • Alhaitham + Tighnari (Taunt) + Zhongli + Kuki Shinobu
  • Xiao / Wanderer + Faruzan + Zhongli + Bennett
  • Yae Miko + Raiden Shogun + Zhongli + Diona
  • Arataki Itto + Gorou + Zhongli + Bennett

F2P teams

As always, F2P teams also work just as well with healers like Bennett, Barbara and shielders such as Noelle. Xiangling, Lisa, Kaeya, Amber, and Noelle can all be built as DPS or Sub DPS to counteract Yseut.

  • Xiangling + Xingqiu + Sucrose + Bennett
  • Lisa + Kaeya + Noelle + Barbara
  • Dendro Traveler + Amber + Barbara + Noelle

As long as Travelers take characters they are confident in dealing DMG, shield them well, and heal well, they should be able to defeat Yseut and get the Hidden Achievement.

Where To Find The Automated Supercomputing Field Generator

Better known as the Mini Automated Field Generator, this Local Legend is a tankier, smaller version of the new 4.1 Fontaine boss, Experimental Field Generator, in the Institute of Kinetic Energy. However, this enemy falls under the Clockwork Meka category of Mobs with its similarities to the Arithmetic Enhancer Mek. Similar to the world boss, the Mini Automated Field Generator can also control gravity and release shockwaves that deal DMG to characters in the area. It also increases the jumping ability of characters, which can be an advantage to use against this mini-boss.

Genshin Impact- Mini Automated Field Generator Location

The boss can be found in the Central Laboratory Ruins, and if players teleport to the waypoint northeast of the area, they will come across the Mini Automated Field Generator in a clearing near the edge of the map.

How To Beat The Mini Automated Field Generator

The Automated Supercomputing Field Generator will adorn a Geo shield quite frequently during the boss fight, so it’s imperative to use characters that can easily break it, such as Geo characters or Claymore users. In addition to that, having a Shielder does not always last long in the party due to the immense DMG this Local Legend does. Thus, it would also do well for players to bring healers with them or have two shielders in the team.

Tips & Tricks To Beat The Mini Automated Field Generator

Genshin Impact- Mini Automated Field Generator Geo Tremors

When the Mini Automated Field Generator releases its three Geo tremors, players should remember to jump and dodge this attack. Merely using a shielder during these hits can prove ineffective, as the shield will break from the first attack.

The mini-boss will also target the character and throw Geo punches their way. Once again, it would be better to dodge them as taking the brunt of the attack head first can weaken shield strength and leave characters susceptible to the following series of attacks.

Genshin Impact- Mini Automated Field Generator Anti Gravity Circles

The last in the series of attacks by the Automated Supercomputing Field Generator is the antigravity Geo circles that will deal the most DMG to characters. Players can simply dodge and evade the targeting mechanism to avoid being hit.

  • Ningguang + Albedo + Zhongli + Bennett
  • Arataki Itto + Gorou + Albedo + Zhongli
  • Eula + Raiden Shogun + Bennett + Diona
  • Diluc + Thoma + Xingqiu + Sangonomiya Kokomi
  • Beidou + Kaeya + Diona + Xiangling
  • Xiao + Bennett + Faruzan + Zhongli
  • Cyno + Baizhu + Zhongli + Fischl
  • Kamisato Ayaka + Kamisato Ayato/ Xingqiu + Zhongli + Bennett
  • Tartaglia + Kaedehara Kazuha +Bennett +Zhongli

As this mini-boss does not move around as much as Yseut, it is easier to defeat the Mini Automated Field Generator through spamming AoE Ultimate attacks and using the plunging attack advantage given.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4 and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
