The Fortress of Meropide in Genshin Impact may seem like it occupies only a small portion of the map, but its size must not be underestimated as the exploration can mostly be done vertically rather than horizontally. The prison consists of several floors that can be overwhelming for new convicts to navigate.

Therefore, it’s no surprise if Genshin Impact players end up getting confused when there’s a task to go to the Production Zone. There are many elevators in this place, and each serves a single purpose, bringing people to only one other floor. Here’s how people can go to the Production Zone in the Fortress of Meropide in Genshin Impact.

To go to the Production Zone: Upper Level in Genshin Impact, head to the eastern lift from the Production Zone: Lower Level and ascend to the Upper Level. This is the only way players can get to the Upper Level as the road there from the Administrative District is blocked by water and Wriothesley’s office.

Fortress of Meropide

The Fortress of Meropide is the place that houses the exiled criminals of Fontaine. Although it’s essentially a prison, life there is not so bad that some people even decide to stay even after their sentence time is over. Under Wriothesley’s management, the occupants are allowed to get one Welfare Meal per day, which means no one will end up dying from hunger. Everything in this place can be bought using Credit Coupons, even the right to slack off and not work.

Players are sent to the Fortress of Meropide to investigate the disappearance of Childe. However, despite figuring out some things about the place, including its "hidden rules", and dangerous secrets, there’s no proper sign of Ajax’s current whereabouts.

Nevertheless, even after serving the 45-days "punishment" for eating the cake "stolen" from Neuvillette, Wriothesley allows players to stick around and enjoy the life of the underworld. The underwater Fortress has several quests to experience, and there are also a few Genshin Impact Chests to discover. Additionally, this place is also home to some exclusive items like food Recipes and even TCG cards and card backs.

However, of course, to be able to afford all the luxurious items of the Fortress of Meropide, players must work hard to collect enough Credit Coupons. In this place, Mora has no value, so all matters must be handled within the walls of the underwater prison.
