Genshin Impact has introduced players to Furina, revealing all the details about her skill set. Associated with the Fontaine region, Furina is an all-new unit that will supposedly play an important role in the Archon story. There have been many rumors about her true identity since the release of Fontaine in version 4.0, with one indicating that she is the human form of the Hydro Archon. Furina's mysterious background has Genshin Impact fans excited about the Fontaine story arc, which seemingly revolves around newly-introduced characters Neuvillette, Wriothesley, and Lyney.
Genshin Impact players should be excited about the version 4.2 update, which will bring a lot of fresh content from limited-time festivities and five-star banners to weapons. During a special live stream, HoYoverse revealed that players will have the opportunity to get rerun banners for Baizhu, Cyno, and Kamisato Ayato. A new character demo shared by Genshin Impact's official Twitter account has confirmed that Furina is a five-star Hydro sword user who has incredible DPS potential. She performs up to four strikes and consumes stamina to unleash a solo dance to deal Physical damage. Her skill summons little creatures to come forth and help Furina kill nearby enemies. These foaming bubbles deal AoE Hydro damage based on Furina's max HP. Due to being a Pneuma-aligned character, she can also heal allies at intervals.
Furina's elemental burst is pretty straightforward, creating a stage of foam that deals AoE Hydro damage. It causes nearby allies to enter a combat state and provides Furina with Fanfare points when their HP increases or decreases. During this state, these points can be used to increase the damage dealt by allies. Additionally, the Hydro Archon takes advantage of Genshin Impact's Pneumousia mechanic as other Fontaine-based units, dealing additional damage to a singular enemy.
Judging by her Hydro-based skill set, Furina will be a must-have character for those who want to clear endgame content without any trouble.
