Furina, as one of the the highly anticipated characters, has finally became playable in Genshin Impact with the release of version 4.2. Regardless, even without the need to pair her with other Fontaine characters, Furina can significantly benefit a team. Her abilities bring a valuable asset, offering support and damage to your party. Many players may be curious about the necessity of unlocking Furina's constellations to enhance her utility in Genshin Impact. The good news is that Furina is a formidable character right away, and players can enjoy her capabilities without investing in constellations. While her constellations provide enhancements, they are not mandatory for her to perform quite well.
Are Furina Constellations Worth It In Genshin Impact?
Furina's early constellations primarily focus on improving her Elemental Burst and Fanfare stacks, enhancing her support capabilities. Nevertheless, it's worth noting that players can get a decent amount of Fanfare without the need to invest in constellations. On the other hand, her sixth constellation is the most worthwhile constellation for her, as it introduces a new playstyle to her kit. This allows her to provide different benefits even when utilized on-field more often.

C1 - Love Is a Rebellious Bird That None Can Tame
- Effect: When using Let the People Rejoice, Furina will gain 150 Fanfare. Additionally, Furina's Fanfare limit is increased by 100.
- Importance: Medium
Furina's first constellation not only increases the maximum Fanfare stacks from 300 to 400 but also provides Fanfare stacks upon using her Elemental Burst. This allows players to reach maximum DMG Dealt and Healing Bonus buffs quicker, enabling increased damage output even with minimal HP% changes during the rotation. At talent level 10, this results in approximately a 25% boost in DMG Dealt bonus, making it quite worthwhile. However, the 150 stacks granted by this constellation may not be necessary, especially if players have characters like Neuvillette or 
Wriothesley with their own HP loss and gain mechanics, which can quickly max out the stacks either way.
Overall, if players plan to unlock C2, this constellation is a good addition, but otherwise, C0 is sufficient on its own for many players.
C2 - A Woman Adapts Like Duckweed in Water
- Effect: While Let the People Rejoice lasts, Furina's Fanfare gain from increases or decreases in nearby characters' HP is increased by 250%. Each point of Fanfare above the limit will increase Furina's Max HP by 0.35%. Her maximum Max HP increase is 140%.
- Importance: High
Similarly to C1, C2's first effect focuses on maximizing the Fanfare stacks as quick as possible, ensuring that the team benefits from the maximum buffs more quickly. While this effect is useful, it's not absolutely necessary. However, what makes C2 more valuable is its secondary effect, which increases Furina's Max HP after reaching the maximum Fanfare stacks. The increased Max HP significantly enhances Furina's healing and off-field DPS capabilities, allowing her to focus on other stats like crit or Hydro DMG bonus on the goblet. While not mandatory, this constellation can transform Furina into a more potent off-field DPS option, in addition to providing healing and buffs.

It's important to note that Furina will need to accumulate an additional 400 stacks to reach this added Max HP, which may be challenging for some players if the team composition lacks characters with access to HP gain and loss mechanics. In particular, to make the best out of this as an off-field DPS, players will need to rely more on a healer compared to her C0.
C4 - They Know Not Life, Who Dwelt in the Netherworld Not!
- Effect: When the Salon Members from Salon Solitaire hit an opponent, or the Singer of Many Waters restores HP to the active character, Furina will restore 4 Energy. This effect triggers once every 5s.
- Importance: Low
Furina may not be a battery unit capable of easily generating a lot of energy on her own, but her relatively low energy cost of 60, coupled with her long Burst uptime, means she isn't entirely reliant on a constellation to sustain her Burst. This is particularly true when players pair her with other Hydro units or battery characters. Her energy generation during the Burst cooldown is limited to about 12 Energy, which is not a significant amount on its own. As a result, Furina's fourth constellation is the least valuable for her kit and the rest of the team.
C6 - Hear Me — Let Us Raise the Chalice of Love!
- Effect: When using the Elemental Skill "Salon Solitaire," Furina gains "Center of Attention" for 10s. Throughout the duration, Furina's Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Plunging Attacks are converted into Hydro DMG which cannot be overridden by any other elemental infusion. DMG is also increased by an amount equivalent to 15% of Furina's max HP. Throughout the duration, Furina's Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and the impact of Plunging Attacks will cause different effects up to every 0.1s after hitting opponents depending on her current Arkhe alignment: Arkhe: Ousia Every 1s, all nearby characters in the party will be healed by 4% of Furina's max HP, for a duration of 2.5s. Triggering this effect again will extend its duration. Arkhe: Pneuma This Normal Attack, Charged Attack, or Plunging Attack ground impact DMG will be further increased by an amount equivalent to 20% of Furina's max HP. When any of the attacks mentioned previously hit an opponent, all nearby characters in the party will consume 1% of their current HP. During the duration of each instance of "Center of Attention," the above effects can be triggered up to 7 times. "Center of Attention" will end when its effects have triggered 7 times or when the duration expires.

Furina's sixth constellation is quite extensive and may appear confusing to some players due to its lengthy description. In summary, this constellation introduces an entirely new gameplay style to Furina's kit, enabling her to infuse her Normal attacks with Hydro and providing different effects based on her current Arkhe alignment. Interestingly, the effects she grants (either more damage through Furina or healing for team members) are opposite to what her summons provide, allowing her to be more versatile and focus more on her personal damage while keeping the team's HP in check. In general, players interested in utilizing Furina as a hyper carry rather than primarily as an off-field character may want to consider this constellation. However, if they already have access to other strong Hydro DPS characters like 
Neuvillette, they may find that Furina lags behind as a hyper carry, especially after investing too many resources to unlocking her final constellation.
