A Genshin Impact chart shows the overall banner revenue for the recently featured five-star character, the Hydro Archon Furina. She was part of the first banner cycle for update 4.2, which also featured the Dendro healer Baizhu and a decent four-star lineup.
As the playable roster keeps expanding with each update, every new banner nowadays features two limited five-star characters. In order to acquire them, Genshin Impact players need to spend their Primogems and try their luck on the Limited Character Banner which runs on a pity system. Five-star units have a 90-wish pity while four-stars have a much lower 10-wish pity, which is shared between three characters.
Furina is also known as the God of Wisdom, the Archon who watches over the Hydro nation. So far, she has been the most important character in Fontaine's main storyline and many consider her the best-written character in the world of Genshin Impact. The events she participated in during the two previous updates have created a lot of hype around this Hydro user, which is reflected in her overall banner sales. According to a popular stats website GenshinLab, the Furina and Baizhu double banner accumulated over $29 million. However, it should be noted that these numbers only represent iOS devices on the Chinese server.
While some players pulled for Baizhu, previous revenue reports have revealed that Furina is responsible for over 95% of the banner's total revenue, which is an absolute record. This character has quickly become a must-have unit thanks to a very flexible kit that allows her to fit many types of team compositions. While she's not usually used as a main DPS unit, it's safe to say that Furina is the most powerful Hydro user in the game, alongside her Fontaine colleague Neuvillette.
She can swap between offensive and defensive playstyle due to her ability to control both the Pneuma and the Ousia energy types. Even though the Pneuma form can be useful, especially for overworld activities, Travelers prefer her offensive Ousia form since it provides tons of party buffs, which can greatly increase the overall damage output of a team composition.
Each of the first three updates has featured an Archon which means that the next update will include either Nahida or Raiden Shogun. Developer HoYoverse has already confirmed the arrival of a new five-star character for 4.3, the five-star Geo user Navia. She will be the first Geo character to arrive on the roster after Yunjin who was released way back in January 2022.
