Summary
- Faruzan in Genshin Impact is a strong 4-star Anemo support unit who excels in buffing Anemo damage and reducing Anemo resistance.
- Players should prioritize leveling Faruzan's burst talent and focus on building her with support sets like Noblesse Oblige or Tenacity of the Millelith.
- Faruzan's best team comps include Anemo DPS units like Wanderer and Xiao, making her a valuable addition to teams with characters like Zhongli or Bennett.
After the release of Kujou Sara and Gorou—two Genshin Impact supports that are niche but strong—there was wonder if another niche unit like them would come around for the other elements. Finally, there came the release of Genshin Impact's Faruzan in December 2022 alongside one of her best teammates, Wanderer. She is a four-star Anemo bow user who plays the role of buffer and support, and she does it well.
Players low on Sumeru resources are lucky, as Faruzan's only truly important talent is her burst. This isn't to say her skill shouldn't be leveled at all (though her normal attack is certainly up to the player to decide if it should be leveled or not), as it does have its uses, but her burst takes priority. It buffs Anemo DMG and decreases Anemo resistance, which increases with her talent level. If a player has her C5 and crowned her burst, the buff for the Anemo DMG is 38.3%. The Anemo resistance is always a flat 30%, but it's still a huge buff.
Genshin Impact: Faruzan Hangout Guide
Faruzan hangout event in Genshin Impact unsurprisingly involves her work in the Akademiya.
Genshin Impact's Faruzan's Kit
Faruzan's Build
Once players are ready to build the historian, all of Genshin Impact's Faruzan's best builds will be support sets. It should be noted that though she is an Anemo unit, the usual Viridescent Venerer set isn't one of her best unless she isn't in an Anemo team like her kit would ask her to be. Though the set does decrease enemy elemental resistance, that's only for a swirled element, and Anemo cannot swirl itself. Her best sets are:
- Noblesse Oblige (if no one else on the team is using this, like Bennett)
- Tenacity of the Millelith (with a shielder on the team)
- The Exile (the four-star artifact set; the 4pc gives the entire party energy)
For sub-stats, there isn't a lot that Genshin Impact's Faruzan is asking for. Her burst is the most important about her kit, so it's encouraged to stack a lot of Energy Recharge (ER) on her. Her fourth ascension passive gives teammates a 32% buff based on her base ATK, which increases normal attacks, skills, and bursts. If players equip her with the Favonius bow, then Crit Rate will become a needed stat as well.
Faruzan's Weapons
For Faruzan's best weapons, any bow that has Energy Recharge will be the best pick. However, it also should be kept in mind that, because the aforementioned buff works on her base ATK and not normal ATK, the weapon chosen will be incredibly important. The difference between a base ATK buff and a normal ATK buff is that the first cannot be increased through sub-stats. If it was a simple ATK buff, she would be in a spot similar to units like Shenhe. But since it's not like that, the following weapons should be considered for both sub-stats and ATK:
- Elegy for the End (five-star, Venti's signature)
- Sacrifical Bow (four-star, gacha)
- Favonius Warbow (four-star, gacha)
Faruzan's Team Comps
Faruzan's best team comps are incredibly straightforward. Since she is essentially a unit built only to support Anemo units, those are the only ones that she should be on a team with. Not in the sense of Mono Anemo, just an Anemo DPS. Of these, there are two excellent picks: Genshin Impact's Wanderer and Xiao. Both units benefit from her greatly and work with other units whom she has synergy with, such as Zhongli, Bennett, Xingqiu, or other buffers.
Faruzan's Constellations
Infamously, Faruzan's best constellation is her C6 since it increases Anemo Crit DMG. But if players did not get her C6, she has some other fine constellations. Her fifth one increases her burst, which is perfect since that's her most useful talent. Then her C4, which helps her energy problems. Finally, her C2 is decent but nothing paramount since it just increases her burst duration.
