Every six weeks following an update, it’s a custom for Genshin Impact to release a new version. In 2.5, players will finally get the chance to have Yae Miko in their party. The Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine has been desired by many ever since her appearance in Inazuma.
Other than Yae Miko, Travelers will have more adventures in Enkanomiya. The balance of the region is disturbed, so once again, Watatsumi needs the hero to help. Apart from the two Inazuma-focused things, here is everything that was announced during the Genshin Impact 2.5 live stream.
Genshin Impact 2.5 Live Stream Codes
Livestreamogems have always been the best part of every special program. As usual, players will get a total of 300 Primogems from these codes. They’re only available 12 hours after the preview, though, so make sure to redeem them as soon as possible.

New Character: Yae Miko
As expected, Yae Miko will be the only new 5-star character in version 2.5. Her banner will come first, so players who wish to pull for her need to get their Primogems ready.
Re-run Characters Banner: Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi
After Yae Miko’s banner during the first half of the update, two reruns will follow. In this banner, Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi will be the featured characters.
New Enemies: Shadowy Husk
Shadowy Husk is an enemy that players will come across in Enkanomiya. In the preview, it appears to come in Cryo, Hydro, and Pyro Elements. Their "official" types are Standard Bearer, Line Breaker, and Defender.
New Weekly Boss: Raiden Shogun
While it’s not yet certain who will be fought in the upcoming version, players can expect a new weekly boss in Genshin Impact 2.5.
New Weapon: Kagura’s Verity and Oathsworn Eye
Because Yae is the upcoming character, Kagura’s Verity is clearly meant for Yae Miko. Meanwhile, Oathsworn Eye is a free 4-star catalyst in Genshin Impact, obtainable via the upcoming Three Realms Gateway Offering Event.
New Story Quest: Act II for Raiden Shogun and Act I for Yae Miko
Along with a new Story Quest for Yae Miko, Genshin Impact 2.5 will also include the continuation of Raiden Shogun's Story Quest.
New Events
Several events will be available in Genshin Impact 2.5, namely:
- Three Realms Gateway Offering
- Divine Ingenuity
- Of Drink A-Dreaming
- Hyakunin Ikki
- Overflowing Mastery
Future Area: The Chasm
After a million speculations, a teaser for The Chasm is finally here. This area east of Liyue will not be available in Genshin Impact 2.5, but players can expect it very soon.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
