Emilie is an exciting new character set to join the Genshin Impact roster as the final addition in the Fontaine arc before the game's transition to the Natlan region and the 5.0 version. As a Dendro support character, Emilie excels at applying the Dendro element to enemies with her unique abilities. Her Elemental Skill continuously applies Dendro to nearby enemies at regular intervals over a prolonged duration, making her an excellent off-field support option. Emilie's Elemental Burst enhances this capability by increasing the damage multiplier and speeding up the application intervals. At the end of her Burst, her Elemental Skill is refreshed, and the off-field AoE effect is reapplied, drawing a parallel to Fischl's role as an off-field Electro applicator.

Despite her similarities to Nahida in terms of Dendro application, Emilie offers a distinctive niche with her passive abilities and added focus on the Burning elemental reaction. This specialization makes her particularly effective in teams designed around the Burning reaction, where Dendro interacts with Pyro to inflict consistent damage over time. Therefore, while she can theoretically be built similarly to Nahida, optimizing her build to maximize Burning reactions is advisable. Here is Emilie's best build, and all other alternatives in Genshin Impact.

Emilie Best Artifact In Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact - Emilie Best Artifact

Emilie is exceptionally well-suited for the Burning Elemental Reaction, making her one of the few, if not the only, character who can fully utilize the 4-piece Unfinished Reverie artifact set, which appears almost tailor-made for her abilities. This set amplifies her performance in Burning-focused teams, particularly when another party member is using the 4-piece Deepwood Memories set. Even if no other team member is equipped with Deepwood Memories, Unfinished Reverie on Emilie still outperforms Deepwood Memories on her in a Burn-specific setup.

For players who want to use Emilie as a general Dendro off-field sub-DPS, and not specifically focus on the Burning reaction, the Deepwood Memories set remains a viable option, provided no other team members are using it. In such a role, the set's Dendro DMG bonus and Elemental RES shred can still be highly effective. Another excellent alternative for Emilie when utilized as a generic sub-DPS is the 4-piece Golden Troupe set, which boosts Elemental Skill damage—perfect for Emilie since her main DPS comes from her Elemental Skill. It's also important to note that while having a complete 4-piece set offers the best synergy, players can mix and match artifacts if they lack pieces with optimal stats, until they can farm better ones.

When it comes to building Emilie, despite her reaction-oriented nature, she actually prefers the ATK stat over Elemental Mastery. This preference increases her own damage output, particularly because the Burning reaction doesn't benefit as significantly from EM as other reactions do. Therefore, Emilie benefits the most from an ATK% Sands. While some players might consider using Energy Recharge Sands to rely on her Elemental Burst in every rotation, this is generally not recommended unless a substantial amount of ATK can be acquired through sub-stats or her weapon.

For her Goblet, a Dendro DMG Bonus will yield the best results, enhancing her overall damage. For the Circlet, a Crit-oriented piece (either Crit Rate or Crit DMG) will be the most effective, as is common for sub-DPS characters. Her sub-stat priorities should align with these main stat recommendations, focusing on ATK, Crit Rate, and Crit DMG. Energy Recharge is also a viable sub-stat to ensure her Elemental Burst can be activated as frequently as possible.

Emilie Best Weapon In Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact - Emilie Best Weapon

Emilie's signature weapon, Lumidouce Elegy, is unsurprisingly the best-in-slot for her, providing a Crit Rate secondary stat, along with boosts to ATK, DMG, and Energy Recharge. This weapon offers almost all the essential stats Emilie needs, making it a perfect fit for her kit. With the inclusion of battery characters in the team, Lumidouce Elegy can ensure Emilie’s Elemental Burst is available in every rotation. However, it's important to note that while this weapon is excellent, Emilie’s first constellation still offers more overall value, enhancing her utility and damage output further.

For alternative weapons, the next best options are also 5-star limited weapons. Calamity Queller stands out due to its massive ATK buff, which simplifies stat prioritization by allowing players to focus on Crit and Energy Recharge. Other viable 5-star options include Crit-oriented polearms like the Staff of the Scarlet Sands and the Staff of Homa. Although these weapons provide secondary stats that aren't perfectly aligned with Emilie’s needs, such as HP bonuses or Elemental Mastery, they still outperform most 4-star alternatives due to their overall stat boosts.

For 4-star options, the Deathmatch (R5) from the Battle Pass is the best, though it isn't F2P-friendly. For a completely free-to-play option, Missive Windspear can be a solid choice if available, as it was an event-limited weapon that not all players may have acquired. If these options are unavailable, the Favonius Lance can be used to provide additional Energy Recharge for the team, though it is generally less effective than the other mentioned weapons. In most cases, it may be more beneficial to equip another character with a Favonius weapon to optimize team utility and damage instead.
