Delaroche's fishing quest in Genshin Impact is one of the many hidden quests in Fontaine. It’s a three-day quest where players offer their fishing knowledge to the Fontaine Fishing Association director.
It takes place on a broken bridge northeast of the Court of Fontaine and offers players 60 precious Primogems in total. During the quest, players will only need their fishing skills, some baits, and a fishing rod. The new Fontaine fishing baits in Genshin Impact costs three Medaka fish and can be purchased from Delaroche herself.
How To Trigger Delaroche's Fishing Hidden Quest In Genshin Impact
To trigger Delaroche's hidden fishing quest in Genshin Impact, travelers must catch a fish in the fishing spot west of Fontaine Fishing Association. To reach it, players can teleport to Thalatta Submarine Canyon's southern Waypoint and swim toward the broken bridge.
Note that the Delaroche's Fishing quest takes three real-life days to be completed and offers the following rewards:
- 60 Primogems
- 79,500 Mora
Delaroche's Fishing Hidden Quest Day 1
Catching a fish near Delaroche will amaze her, and she will want tips from players who can fish in Genshin Impact. She then describes how, despite being the head of the Fontaine Fishing Association, she has never caught a fish. That’s when Paimon asks travelers to help her catch her first fish by:
- Diving underwater.
- Investigating her fishing rod bait.
- Attaching a fish from the inventory to her hook.
After her first catch, ask Delaroche about her bait issue. Delaroche uses soft baits that easily dissolve in the water but eventually decides to make her baits more durable by modifying their composition.
Delaroche's Fishing Hidden Quest Day 2
On the second day of Delaroche's Fishing Hidden quest in Genshin Impact, players need to:
- Go back to the Fishing Association director's location
- Ask if she had any luck these days.
- Submerge underwater
- Attach a bait on her fishing rod hook.
- Ask if she caught a fish again
In response to Delaroche's failure to craft a good bait once again, players must help her out. Therefore, she catches her second catch, thanks to the travelers. To help her out more, players give her some additional tips about bait quality and slip some basic bait materials into her pouch.
Delaroche's Fishing Hidden Quest Day 3
On day 3, players will be shocked to see Delaroche struggle again to catch a fish. Upon speaking with her, they offer to get her fallen Active Odor Imitating Bait, which appears to attract aquatic monsters rather than fish in Genshin Impact. As a result, she’s told that better bait can help her avoid the problem and endangering the aquatic system.
