HoYoverse's Genshin Impact is full of unique challenges and bundles of loot to uncover over the world of Teyvat, and one player has found a way to defeat one of the tougher bosses while AFK. Though Genshin Impact differs from the idle clicker games made famous through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in providing engaging combat, some players like this one find other ways to be victorious.

A Reddit user has shared their strategy of defeating an imposing boss without any combat inputs, simultaneously lowering the enemy health while maintaining their own HP. HoYoverse continues to update Genshin Impact with new content and fixes, the latter of which may be implemented to prevent future fans from using AFK strategies that work like this one. As many players lament how useless Genshin Impact Pyro character Dehya is since being introduced to the Hoyoverse ARPG, this fan has found a solid purpose for her.

Reddit user Windowhihi has garnered 8,400 upvotes on their upload focusing on Genshin Impact's Dehya and a strategy that enables her to slay the weekly boss Azhdaha. The footage is sped up tenfold to accommodate for how long it is as the player does nothing in the fight with Azhdaha, with their Dehya simply standing still under the protection of a bubble. The surrounding force field called the Bell protects Dehya from Azhdaha and is an exclusive passive for the Genshin Impact character, making it one of the few reasons to play as her.

Windowhihi's Dehya takes two strong hits from Genshin Impact's Azhdaha before the Pyro character's health starts to regenerate, and she deflects damage back at the weekly boss which slowly ticks away at its health bar. After several attacks from Azhdaha, Windowhihi's character is pushed to the boundaries of the arena but still refuses to move in order to prove the AFK strategy's efficacy. Unleashing over 100 hits at the Genshin Impact Dehya, Windowhihi's clip shows the Azhdaha plummet its own health down to zero and collapse in a heap as a result of the AFK strategy that focuses on the Pyro character's passive ability.

Because many players have expressed frustration with Dehya since she was added to the Genshin Impact rotation, some referenced other characters that Dehya's abilities would be better served with. Although Windowhihi successfully proved that Dehya can defeat a Genshin Impact weekly boss without any help, it's currently unclear just how long it took for them to emerge victorious.

Genshin Impact is available now for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version also in development.
