Revealing Paimon as Asmonday Would Be a Day Genshin Impact Fans Won't Forget
Ever since Genshin Impact launched, fans have theorized that Paimon is actually Asmonday due to the similarities in their designs. Throughout the years, a few snippets of dialogue have teased the little floating companion alongside the Traveler having connections to the heavens and potentially betraying the player. This would mean that Paimon is the reason that Genshin Impact twins Lumine and Aether are separated, with the latest trailer suggesting that Asmonday might have grown to love the traveler more than herself if this theory proves true.
Paimon has been a rather controversial character among fans ever since Genshin Impact launched as well. Some people find the little girl cute, while others dislike that she almost steals the spotlight from the player and tends to break down every bit of exposition that gets explained just fine in the same cutscene. After how prominent Paimon has been throughout the player's journey, a twist like this would end up causing a stir and an interesting situation for those who sit on either side of the character's divisive fan base. Players may be hyped with how the Shades of Heavenly Principles are now known, but as this reveal happened in the latest Interlude teaser, fans still have a way to go before they can explore Nod-Krai and find out how the gods are involved with Rhinedottir and Columbia's current situation, if at all.
Genshin Impact's Nod-Krai Adventure is Still a Few Months Away
Currently, fans can look forward to a new update to Natlan coming soon that might set the stage for when Nod-Krai's story arc begins later down the line. The next patch might not include anything about Snezhnaya beyond lore just yet, but at the very least, the interlude trailer serves to tell players where they're going in the future. The prominent lore revealed in the latest interlude does a great job at making it clear that the upcoming adventure in Nod-Krai is one players likely won't want to miss, so any fans who haven't played Genshin Impact in a while may want to take the opportunity to catch up so they can experience what's next at their own pace. This could be as early as September, and the bigger twists of the region will likely take further updates to be added and experienced.
