A Genshin Impact concept has equipped the Anemo user Jean with heavy armor. She is a popular five-star character that plays a significant role in Mondstadt's Prologue Archon Chapter. As the Acting Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonious, Jean is probably the most important character in the Anemo region alongside Venti.
Despite being part of the original group of Genshin Impact characters that arrived in the game back in September 2020, Jean remains a fan-favorite thanks to her personality and playstyle. She is by many still considered an A or B-tier support who can provide decent healing and apply the Swirl reaction whenever it's needed.
A Reddit user by the name of Qworty_ has posted an impressive fan-art that shows the five-star Anemo character Jean wearing heavy armor which suits her role in the Knights of Favonious. Travelers seem to like the design as the post reached over 2.2k upvotes on the game's official subreddit with many fans claiming that they would prefer this outfit over the summer-themed skin they got back in 2021. Jean's role model is the legendary Mondstadt character Vennessa who used to be a gladiator approximately 1000 years before the game's current timeline. She was one of the characters that helped Venti and Ragnvindr to end the Aristocracy in this region and establish the current City of Freedom with the Knights of Favonious.
Many fans claim that such an iconic character like Jean should receive a rework in the future to make her viable in the current meta. Even though she used to be an S-tier support in Genshin Impact, the recent releases of new and more complex playable units as well as enemies have pushed her out of the meta.
Over the last couple of months, fans have been proposing interesting awakening concepts for older Genshin Impact characters that would lift their level limit from 90 to 100. Besides having stronger overall stats, the characters would also receive additional effects. However, it's highly unlikely that HoYoverse would ever make such a drastic adjustment, especially considering that their focus has always been on new releases.
There is a chance that Jean could make some additional appearances in the upcoming months as credible leakers revealed that a new Mondstadt expansion is around the corner. According to previous rumors, the current version of the Anemo nation only represents around 60% of the whole region. The new part of Mondstadt will apparently be placed north of the region, and it will introduce some legendary characters like Varka, the actual Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonious.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
