A Genshin Impact fan shares an impressive concept in which they combine Childe and Thoma into one single character. The game's anime-like design often serves as a source of inspiration to create their own concepts in which they combine various features from different characters.
Characters are the focal point of each Genshin Impact update and HoYoverse keeps expanding the pool of playable units with each new update. The second banner cycle for the ongoing version 3.6 will introduce two brand-new characters, the famous Sumeru Architect Kaveh, and Baizhu, who is the current owner of Liyue's Bubu Pharmacy.
Reddit user CWHardKnight has shared an interesting concept that combines the Hydro user Childe with Mondstadt's four-star character Thoma. The post was well-received in the community as it reached over 3.3k upvotes on Genshin Impact's official subreddit with many fans claiming that it perfectly fits HoYoverse's usual character design. The whole concept is basically a combination of Childe's head and Thoma's body. CWHardKnight is known in the community for creating similar projects that always get a lot of attention from fans. Some comments have pointed out that this character would definitely be overpowered due to his ability to trigger the elemental reaction Vaporize all by himself by combining his two elements, Hydro and Pyro.
Since Thoma's release back in update 2.2, players have been speculating that these two characters might be related since they share a similar personality and overall design. They also have great synergy since Childe, also known as Tartaglia, can constantly trigger Vaporize thanks to Thoma's great off-field Pyro application. Even though Childe was one of the first five-star characters to join the roster, he is still considered an S-tier DPS character in Genshin Impact.
He has a unique playstyle that allows players to constantly swap between melee and ranged combat. Despite being a bow user, Tartaglia's Elemental Skill makes him equip a pair of Hydro-infused daggers which deal increased damage. Players who want to add him to their roster could soon get the chance to do so since his last banner appearance was back in the second phase of Genshin Impact 3.2 alongside Yae Miko.
Excluding the recently added five-star character Dehya, Thoma was the last Pyro character to join the roster. However, there doesn't seem to be any Pyro character additions anytime soon as HoYoverse already confirmed that the new Genshin Impact character for update 3.7, Kirara, will be a Dendro user.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
