Hoyoverse has lengthy enemy spawn times in Genshin Impact that have been noticed by numerous fans, with one player clipping a precise example of what makes it a problem. Genshin Impact was released in 2020, and since then, there have been a few bugs and glitches that have been addressed in subsequent updates, but some players take issue with the long spawn times.
There are multiple Genshin Impact challenges that are time-based, requiring players to travel a certain distance or defeat specific opponents as a clock overlay slowly ticks down to zero. Reddit user Axelolotl recently posted a Genshin Impact clip in which the player is doing a challenge in a limited time frame, and they're unable to chain kills together effectively due to the ineffective spawn times. The spawning Genshin Impact 3.0 enemies that Axelolotl required for the challenge in their clip appear for a fleeting moment that is highlighted in their video.
Axelolotl's Genshin Impact video begins with the player starting a challenge with a 20-second time limit in a party that consists of Cryo character Rosaria, Anemo hero Kaedehara Kazuha, and Sangonomiya Kokomi. The level 88 Genshin Impact player defeats one enemy with a powerful freeze attack and is left standing there waiting for the enemy to respawn as the clock ticks down, ultimately resulting in the challenge failing. This Genshin Impact challenge attempt was dropped just as the necessary enemies spawned and then immediately disappeared, while the disappointed player was powerless to do anything to meet the requirements.
According to Axelolotl, they play Genshin Impact on a Samsung device, like many other fans, and although load times are regularly lengthy, the gamer doesn't usually experience lag issues. The Genshin Impact fan notes multiple occasions in which they see lengthy delays at the beginning of a challenge, most notably in The Abyss and when playing with others. Axelolotl specified that the Genshin Impact challenge recorded in their clip was basically impossible the first time, but the mobs appeared much quicker the second time they attempted the time trial.
Many Genshin Impact players told their own stories of poor enemy respawn in the Hoyoverse action RPG in response to Axelolotl's video, with some others suggesting that it may be a hardware issue. One Genshin Impact fan suggested that Axelolotl try opening the Travelers Log to stop the clock when waiting for respawn, but this isn't always an effective method of catching the spawns.
Genshin Impact is available now for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5.
